I like this comment. I also see that they are very much hosting this contest without the constraints of real athleticism and tv style commentating. I’m happy with both styles , but i can understand that skaters of all ages see it differently and maybe want a more pro sports style presentation. When it is loose and full of wtf’s by crob and mo it feels like a game of skate with friends (to me at least). Most of the time nobody cares if you call it a nollie full cab rather than a 360. Or a fs indy rather than a fs grab. It is clear that skateboarding is going to look more like other pro sports and thats a bit of a bummer as i’m not as big a fan of big tv events. But i still love it and watch sls because there is always something happening that is new. Sorry rant over. I genuinely like your comment.

I hope We advance to a new era of new kings and owners in the skateboarding broadcast scene. These dudes have done good, but young new dudes coming up should definitely have a platform and be supported commentating, broadcasting, and commenting on skateboarding culture. (In address to Chris Roberts, Steve Berra, etc.) I hope these dudes support younger dudes to do what they do. The same shit they do; there's more room for new dudes to commentate.

that wasn't a casper flip attempt, Jamie was going for a feather flip
@joshuadansby28742 жыл бұрын
slow-mo it, that was a casper flip attempt (Dumb Data is correct). Jamie stayed away this time not setting a feather flip in the finals.
@@joshuadansby2874 i did, the angle is deceptive but he catches it between his feet like a feather flip. definitely a feather flip, it's one of jamie's most frequently used tricks. never seen him even attempt a casper flip, not sure why he would randomly pull that out in the finals edit: see how in the instagram video of jonny giger doing a proper casper flip the board turns halfway over so the grip faces the ground before he pulls the board back over vertically? in a feather flip, the board is caught between the feet and then returned to it's original position, not flipped over. that's clearly what happened with jamie's trick. it looks funky because he didn't execute well (thus why he didn't land it) but it was 100% a feather, not a casper.
@joshuadansby28742 жыл бұрын
@@kseebees94 It may look that way if unfamiliar but I assure you it is a casper flip. His popping foot hits the tail of the board upside down.

I think that grilling from Crob at the end was unwarranted. This channel literally just provides the stats about batb and skate parts who's also a skater and a person with opinions making videos, I think dismissing everything you do as hating on people isn't justified; especially if crob's never watched any of your videos

BATB12 aside, I really enjoy both what you and Crob and The Nine Club have done for skating on this platform. His diatribe at the end was surprisingly ignorant in nature. Its level of ignorance elevated it from what could have been a forgotten video game stream to maybe a few hundred people to now an audience of many thousand. The pettiness of it harkens back to the days of clic white male exclusive 90's scene attitude, with the medium of VHS, magazine, and in-person attitudes evolving to KZbin vids. I don't blame you for airing out the dirty laundry to your audience. You don't shit on people; you literally break down the data in an irrefutable scientific way, and let the data speak for itself. I still support Crob and the Nine Club, but dude, either evolve beyond that attitude of which you grew up with, or actually carry yourself like how you claim to be.

Chris cole is one of my favorite skaters of all time, but it was underwhelming when he was subbed in because I doubt he “wanted” to win getting a pass. So even if he got Jamie to T I imagine he would’ve thrown regardless.

Did the Berrics ever say why they weren’t streaming on KZbin?
@darkstar74472 жыл бұрын
Probably part of whatever deal they have with that Caffeine site/app. Twitch has similar rules for their partners when it comes to streaming on multiple platforms. They want exclusive rights to the stream so people must come to their website to watch it.

From all the events I've wintessed, a huge part of the hype and mood is usually set by the casters/commenters/hosts, in which case Crob,Mike Mo and Berra did absolutely nothing. The whole finals night felt kinda stale, I mean the crowd did most of the hyping, honestly. The tournament integrity was wack throughout, Berra and Koston played themselves really hard the whole way. Awesome vid as always.
