The thing I regret buying the most is fast fashion clothes , clothes that are seasonal bright and full of weird patterns . At the end of the day "I don't have anything to wear" even though I have tons . I've now started to invest in more basic pieces that I can wear with everything, miss and match and use all the time.

Alisha!! I totally get it I didn’t like kindles either. I def was a physical book gal. BUT I love using my kindle when reading at night. It’s dim light so it’s not like reading off your phone, but you don’t have to have the lights on. That helped me develop a love for my kindle. With the lights being off while you read, and you reading from the dim light of your Kindle, that helps your body still create the hormone that helps you fall asleep. So the lights from your room and phone don’t keep you up. But I get it, physical books are hard to beat.

ALISHA I gotchu on the book recs girlie… you don‘t strike me as much of a fantasy person since you seem to read nonfiction the most. However, based on the guys you‘ve said are your type, I feel like you would enjoy some of these: Beach Read by Emily Henry, The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren, The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, and Icebreaker by Hannah Grace. I haven’t read Magnolia Parks by Jessa Hastings, but based on the reality TV you watch, I think you might enjoy it, too. I just got a kindle myself because it‘s easiest to borrow from the library, but I‘ll always prefer physical books. And never be ashamed of not finishing a book. What‘s the point in reading for pleasure if you‘re not enjoying it?

I regret buying Louis Vuitton planners/agendas. 😩 they were too pretty and expensive that I never wanted to use it for fear of ruining the canvas… it stayed in the dust bag for years until I finally decided to sell them. Okay book worm here too! I LOVE physical books so much more, if I had the money to buy all the books I read I would. But my nook as well as some free book websites (which imma gatekeep after what happened to z-library, sorry) has saved me so much money while able to keep up with a hobby I love. For the people who have the money to buy physical books all the time, I admire you and agree they’re better. But for the working class nooks and kindles can be lifesavers if used alongside free downloads!

One thing I really like about my kindle is that you can read in the dark and super bright sun. Also I love that I can take it to the beach/pool and don’t have to worry about my book getting damaged!

For me, my kindle is a life saver. I can’t hold physical books open for 15mins or more due to issues with my hands. I can maybe do small novellas but anything bigger like fantasy books, or biographies, nope. Hardcovers are worse. I still have a wall full of my books that I occasionally hold and flick through from time to time. I’ve tried audio books too but I prefer the kindle. Something about holding an object keeps my focus. If I try to listen and work on something else, I get absorbed into what I’m doing instead.

I use my YSL Rive Gauce running around locally! If I’m going to a coffee shop to work or a casting what have you it’s perfect and chic. Definitely too heavy to take on long flights etc tho! Hard agree on that

You should read Fourth Wing, its a fantasy book. kinda reminds me of Divergents and Hunger games but with dragons. Its also a enemies to lovers book. Im horrible at describing books but i promise you its sooo good!

To put this in perspective in case anyone is curious, $8000 is a lot of money but it isn't a crazy amount of money if you're a millionaire. Obviously not everyone has disposable income but many people do and a lot of people can relate to impulse buys, just not at the same scale, it's all about perspective. $8000 would be 0.8% of income for someone who makes $1 million a year (Idk how much Alisha actually makes, I just chose a round number). It would be the same as wasting $480 for someone making $60k a year.

The painting looks off because of the frame. You have an antique looking frame with an antique painting in the background with a modern photo in the center. Instead, put a black frame and it’ll balance things out. Modern Black frame, antique painting, modern photo. Also the black frame will go with your black furniture, especially the office where you remodeled it to dark walls and dark decor.

I think a Kindle is only then practical when you travel a lot and therefore would need many books for one trip. But if you don't travel that often and are not a digital book person, I would rather skip out on some outfits ore shoes and fill that space with books. 🤷‍♀️😊

A video just came up in my feed-guy with a channel called. Dylan Can Read ranks his three Kindles. They are not all created equal. I initially didn’t like Kibdle and I now have a smaller one. It’s easy to hold but yet large enough to read on, it has backlight. It doesn’t prompt me or shame me about not finishing a book. You can change the font size, you can read outdoors and still see the page which you cannot do with all devices and not have to struggle to keep a book’s pages open outdoors or indoors. I read at night, so this is especially helpful in bed. You can change the background and the font size.
