Maybe with the black sheer dress it might be worth getting altered (if possible) I think it would be a lot easier to style and would look a lot less witchy if it were shorter. I think it’s still really cute especially the way it joins at the front, but it might look less harsh and dramatic if it were the same length as the skirt you styled with it.

the whole thing abt how liking a style doesn’t mean u like every version of it is so true !! i have been a strawberry bitch since 2014, but when The Strawberry Dress TM from Lirika Matoshi came out, i knew it wasn’t for me (but damn was i tempted). the glitter print itself is so adorable, but the dress cut just isn’t something i’d ever reach for. with that said, there’s no shame in trying something you earnestly thought you’d like and then realizing you don’t. the only problem is if you buy something ONLY because it’s trendy and then throw it out once it’s not. while you’re doing your best to discover your style, try to notice what you do and don’t wear so you can figure out what u like & donate unused clothes to charity shops, homeless shelters, or donate them for fabric if they can’t be worn!

For the vests I feel like a flow-y blouse under it matched with a skirt could look cute 💖! Blouses similar to what I see lolitas wear underneath their dresses to layer! I feel like that paired with a short or long skirt would have a very cute silhouette and vibe. Especially if the skirt has some poof or flow but I feel like it’d look cute with all sorts of skirts like jean ones for example too!

I feel like maybe, MAYBE, with the pastel blue bow shirt, maybe a long sleeve underneath? For layering, maybe make it a double pants moment idk. Like pants as in any layering going on, not pants pants lol Also, the matching set, I’d say the jacket bit is salvageable with not those bottoms. i really wanted to try out the sheer trend this year so i bought this sheer shirt with flowy sleeves because i thought it would be a good layering piece but it is SO ITCHY that i cannot wear it for longer than an hour. the neckline is also slightly too wide for my taste. note to self: if something is itchy in the store, it’s going to be worse at home.

The blue bow top could be styled with either baby blue bottoms or navy blue bottoms. Jeans and skirts in the same kind of blue tones found on the blue bow top would work as would any white bottoms. A white coat or cardigan over the top of the shirt leaving the bow in the middle of the skirt exposed would work well. I think if you went with a cutesy nana or fruits magazine vibe with the bow shirt would work. Love your video!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well Katey!!

for the military band lil vests i'd go nothing underneath, oversized jacket (ideally very bulky but no longer than the vest; puffer quilted or bomber, maybe even that ganni one tbh), hair up like a messy braid put up in a bun, micro mini plaid skirt (love me a shugo chara vibe), and then either like an assorted dark red mini purse and tabi vibe, or a huge canvas sling bag and absurd sandals

i think the gingham bow top would look really cool styled in a kinda apple picking, country tomboyish girl, ursula from kikis delivery service way, but that might not resonate w u! either way imo red, dark blue denim, soft browns, and other plaids could balance it nicely instead of it sticking out too much on its own- maybe u could do a tight fitting long sleeve in red underneath to solve the layering thing too, or (if it fits over right) the plaid bettys blue coat u showed recently! also, it could just be easier to style in general if u cropped it close to the bow, then you'd have more freedom to lean into a babydoll vibe instead !

Love all the fits! My closet consists of very timeless pieces, and I really try not to buy clothes I’m not 100% sure about anymore!
