It has been a tiresome trope that I'd (as well as anyone who isn't a blind hater or, worst case scenario, blood-thirsty guerrilla craving for a 3rd world war) like to see die off from this community (but probably never will since it's been going on since the creation of this game, and seems to escalate as time goes on). Scout's no doubt one of the more sane mercenaries, and likely only BECAME one (comic spoilers ahead for those unaware) because of his dead-beat father (Spy, unfortunately) leaving him (as well as his seven older brothers and mother) to rot in Boston, stranding them in a state of poverty for around or even over two whole DECADES until Scout was offered to work at Mann Co. (with Spy never considering to help the family out throughout that time despite sitting on a treasure-trove of cash that can surely buy them a house). But I suppose people just like being ironic, since they'll hate a guy for doing some juvenile pranks to the point of wanting him killed or castrated (individuals with this level of sadism exist), then turn around and laugh when an unofficial war "hero" runs around snapping peoples' necks and commencing chaos (mind you one of these individuals being Scouts' lawyer, a scenario that was working out PERFECTLY until Soldier's dumbass came in and nearly got them all hung, until Pauling came in and saved them from his stupidity), as videos like this show with the constant elevated hatred towards a man who had his childhood shredded into microscopic pieces, and have the rest of his life enforced to work for a blood-money corporation since he can't ever go back home due to the bounty on his head that, had Spy been a proper father, NEVER would have fabricated into existence.
