Dog tags are always cool finds!
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Yea. I knew nothing about them prior to dump digging. I had no idea they made plastic dog tags in the 1940's.

So nice of you. I actually started getting into 100 yearold bottles up there earlier today. More to come

Back to the Dump, loved everything you found today, the marbles weren't too shabby either. Hello Squirrel Man, good to see you bright eyed and bushy tailed. Love yall.

That Doll Head is Creepy as Fuck ! Don't put that on your thumbnail .
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Yea. But we need to do better on the marbles. I found like a 2 inch sulphide marble on that dump with a Sheep inside it. There has been some exceptional stuff come off it.
@neweyes777Ай бұрын
@@rockscousteau Thats great Rocks! When I was little, I can still remember the Big Marble I had that had a Sheep lying down within it. Was Your Sheep standing or lying down? Much love friend.

Loving your videos! You truly are hitting on all my passions. Arrowheads, bottle digging, marbles, antique toys, and critters. I'm not sure if it's something you'd do but I would love to have a chance at digging this spot especially with you. I wouldn't even need to bring a single item home you can keep it all. Just the chance to rescue so many pieces of history would be amazing. Truth be told....I don't have many digging seasons left in me. It would be a pretty awesome thing to dig with someone with the same passions just once. I'm just a stones throw away in Morgan county.
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
I am about Arrowhead Hunted out for a few weeeks I think Catfish. This dump I was on in this video seems to be better than I anticipated. I am way way down the hill from where I have dug in the past. And I actually got into older nice bottles there today. Found like a $30.00 Art deco soda just laying out.
@CatfisherJimАй бұрын
@@rockscousteau I've dug a few good ones along the Muskingum favorite probably "Burnettes Cocaine" a har treatment and Dr Kings new life pills. I do love my bottles ...probably a lil too much. Marbles too I've always to do a dig at Cairo or sistersville. Careful.... Bottles may be more addicting lol. Need a good ground probe

me too. They have reproductions of those on amazon. Some of these new toy companies have the old marx Molds

That dump looks so rich! What a cache🏁 Hope the rain helps keep the dust down, don’t breath that, and shows you some surface finds too.
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Yea. Better than expected so far. I got into nice old bottles today. Just a little deeper
@stardust949Ай бұрын
Loved you finding the little salamander friend! And yeah, this drought is awful. I'm glad squirrel man is enjoying some of the harvest from the woods.
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
it has looked like rain all day. And even felt like it. But nothing at all. I think crops got ruined around here. I saw corn fields today with all the corn just gone
@stardust949Ай бұрын
@@rockscousteau They may have harvested it early. The corn in our area is practically Mummified. SO dried out---but then, I think they harvest it that way in order to grind it up?? Hell, I don't know. No rain here either---except a faint sprinkle that didn't even wet the crunchy grass.
@Travelling..Bottle..DiggerАй бұрын
Man, I've never seen a salamander move that quick before lol
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Yea. Not many are fast like this. This is the only kind I have seen that have moved fast. I found onelike this before and it seemed to move alot.
@coffeehunter8742Ай бұрын
Nice finds. Gonna be a great area to really give a thorough going thru. Be careful that Sqirrel Man doesn't drop pieces of the buckeyes down to Dog Bubby. They are poisonous(to some degree) to most animals except squirrels.
@wolfgangrickyАй бұрын
MARBLES !!!! TBH , my fave vids of yours are marbles & toys. Ty for taking us along
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Glad you like them! I am going to have to take a hand saw and clippers up there to cut out roots. But I think I should get into marble way better than this on this dump. I could find something REAL good on this place.
@Jane_DowАй бұрын
Cool looking salamander. Always like seeing the wildlife you come across, nice to get them to a safe place. Great to be back on the marbles. Wow, an old dog license, thats a good find, has a bit of history that a lot of people don't know about. :~)

Looks like the little buckle was from a headstall for a horse.
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
It may have been. I am no expert on that kind of stuff. I figured someone would know who metal detected alot. I should start fraing up all that kind of stuff too. I find a ton of buckles.
@diggingva2720Ай бұрын
Hey rocks that lid liner is a good one it would have went on a tutor rose mason jar!
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Hmmm...See I am no bottle expert. And that just sounds like Chinese to me....LOL. Never heard of one. I just knew that had to be off something not so common. ort I would have found one already
@sun9912Ай бұрын
I find them white caps 5 at a time
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Yea me too. But not that one dude. That was at least 35% smaller in diameter than a normal cap. I think that may have been an insert to one of those small old 1858 jars
@samuelh1766Ай бұрын
I visited noble county last week to see some buddies. I noticed how bad the drought was also, to see the creek dried up is eye opening compared to the flooding I saw earlier this year when I visited Marietta. porcelain caps are one of the few things I was able to find around here for mason jars.
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Yea. I am kind of hoping for rain. It is way to dry. It has looked like rain for days. But not a drop

Well yesterday I saw a nice 1 inch green and blue transparent Alley swirl that was on eBay in the $12-16 range go at auction up to $22..Well, I'm out then. Half hour later it ends at $52.00 the winner! You got a ton of marbles worth a heck of a lot moola bud!
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Yea. People get nuts on there. And I dont think people realize how lucrative marble digging can be, if you have online skills. Can get Magazine Quality Photo's for your auctions. Have a good selling record over the past 6 months or so. You can MAKE A TON of money doing this. You just have to have the eye. And be able to look at large lots of marbles and spot "good stuff"

I'm glad you are back on the marbles, Rocks. The dog tag is an excellent find! Do you ever take any thick old glass to make arrowheads from?❤
@rockscousteauАй бұрын
Well....I dont even have time to knap to be hones, oil paint, any of that. When i get older I will probably do oil painting on here. Maybe knap a little. That big uranium glass piece laying there at the end would have made some just sick points. They would be easy to make out of that too. it is nice knapping material...."Good quality Glass"

Oh My yes. The Game Wardens and all that in this state are EXCELLENT. All that Wayne national Forest land. There are even wild Ohio River Otters now. And there are Bald Eagles everywhere. I see one every few days in the air flying
