Dump Truck stuck in reverse SOLVED!!!

Other than that synchro, everything looks pretty good in there. I'm wondering if the truck got stuck and the driver was bouncing (maybe a little too agresively) between 1&R trying to get unstuck.

Hopefully I'll have it pulled out, fixed, and put back in. In the next 3-4 weeks. Work is pretty busy for me this time of year so not too much free time to work on it. However it's going to be cold working on it out in the driveway come November so I need to get moving on it.

How can I pull the top cover off and I can manually move the center fork which puts it in reverse if I'm correct

When I pull the top plate off I can bring the shifter to neutral but it stays in reverse if I go to a forward gear it just locks up it won't do anything

My 99 Dodge 3500 is stuck in reverse gear and I can move the shifter to neutral but it stays in gear and won't go forward

Sounds like shift forks or a problem with the top cover.
