I know games and craft supplies broke my heart too! All clean and in great condition could have been donated to another school, daycare, thrift store or even a nursing home. We always needed and loved receiving donated items like craft supplies in the activities dept. at the nursing home where I worked! Teacher's in my state have to pay for their own supplies! I know Mike doesn't have time to grab it all but shame on whom ever dumped it! We need to do better. So wasteful in this country.

My husband worked with Alzheimer's and dementia patients for a couple of years. We got some time life books of different states and it brought the folks alive, so to speak. The books showed old cars, old farms, old clothes, and such and it stimulated their memories and they might say I remember papa had a car like that, we used to go on picnics in it. Or mama had a dress like that that she wore to church. Then memories can be pulled out from there. Might try something like that and see if it works. I love you have coffee every Fri with your Grandpa!!!

Great suggestions. My mom didn't want to read or play games but she did like sorting coins, she felt like she accomplished something and was productive.

Music works too. Tony Bennet had alzheimer's, but play him an oldie and he could sing right along. Worked on my friend's grandma too. She didn't know what she'd eaten for breakfast, but play a hymn from the 1890s and she knew every word.

Many years ago back in the days of the South African/ Angola Bush war , the wastage from hospital operation kits exceeded the the medical needs of both sides. Usually for a medical procedure the surgeon receives a kit of what he needs. Sadly the rest is considered wasted That's USA hospital waste

I do the same. I come home from work everyday and it's the first thing I check.. does Mike have a video up? He has no idea what he does for some of us. Well, he may have somewhat of an idea, but for some of us out here he's the brightest part of our day or week. 100% As a struggler myself ..I love you. Not in a creepy stalker way it's just that no one says it over here and incase you haven't already heard that I'm sending it out to you. Now that my fun is over I have to pace my house and build up the confidence or whatever it is to hit the malls for Christmas shopping for 4 kids on a meager $1000. I'm not poor mouthing. I can do it with a grand but the people... Fuck my life. So many of them want to stop and catch up and ask questions about other people's lives I care nothing about. Trying not to be rude when it's fun for them to stop and talk and for me it's absolute tortuous hell. It's going to be a long ass day now. Id like Mike to be live 16 hours a day. That length of escape would be ideal for my brain.

Mike, at 7:39 you opened up a dumpster with a bunch of toys. When you were walking around, you were walking on round switches. The switches are used to control inputs for disabled children. Your local children’s hospital would be pleased to see some of those switches because they’re charged between 20 and $30 per switch. On the Internet they’re used for training, dogs and cats they use the same switches sometimes you really don’t know what you’re looking at. Good luck Bryan from California.

I am a 70 years-old, female. I learnt about scrap classifications from Mike. 60/61, 60/63 aluminum, extruded aluminum, etc. It goes to show, you are never to old to learn something new. 😅😅😅

For me it is Christmas Eve and I about cried thinking of the kids getting next to nothing this year. The toy dumpster is a crime scene. They should have donated nearly everything. Selfish, inconsiderate and down right Grinchy of them. Other than that, Mike is a gift for the world. Thanks to him, my "Drop in the Bucket" theory works. If you think you can protect the earth and earn a living off of people who are the exact opposite of you, GO FOR IT!
