Mike, that was the electronics case for a laser shoot, training simulator that used a projector and a screen to play a scenario that trained people on whether to shoot, or not shoot. A firearm would have been fitted with a laser in the barrel that would record you reaction time and shot locations on the screen . Very cool training stuff.

The first item you found is a coil binding machine for the printing industry. You stack up like 50 pages. Put it into the middle of the machine and it punches rectangle holes the whole length of the paper. Then you place a plastic or metal spiral binder on top and the spiral opens up. You place the sheets into the binders with the holes and close the spiral. The main company that makes these machines are GBC General Binding Company.

Mike, the hidden cams are called granny cams they are for monitoring how people are treating those who may need protection. Also, the lights' control is so you can turn on or off your lights in different rooms. It's helpful for those in wheelchairs and can be used to scare off intruders. Your " Hole Cutter " is for making those plastic spiral note book things. You take your documents ( like for presentations ) set the switches on the front ( for paper length ) put the stack in, punch holes, put the plastic spiral piece in, pull lever 7 it binds everything together. I think someone said it simply a Binding Machine. Now my fingers are out of breath !

Yep a binding machine, you need the plastic straps with all the clips on to hold the pages. the toot on top is to strech the plastic stips to insert the pages. As a photographer, there a couple off interresting stuff in that cinema lot. Even the big blac cloth could be used as a dark backdrop. If I was in your neiborhood, I,d sure be interrested and you could sell them to a photography amateur. Even the white sheet in the pastic container could be used as a light shade.

As Eric The Great said, the large box contained the electronics for a firearms training simulator, and the magazines go into simulated firearms. But to expand on that, it looks like that dumpster had almost all of the components for a Firearms Range Theater. Police & military agencies use a "theater" set up to train officers in "shoot/don't shoot scenarios. Different situations are projected onto large screens in 180 up to 300 degree fields so the officers can react to whether they should shoot or not. Various scenarios are projected onto the screens; sometimes it is "bad guys", other times it is innocent bystanders or victims. Although it is a "virtual world", this training helps officers/trainees make split seconds decisions. The video projection equipment, the large bundle of black fabric , (used for the sides and backdrop of the "theater"), the screens, the poles that are used to hold up the various parts of the theater, etc are all part of the "theater". They now have units like this but they are upgraded to be wireless & the electronic components etc., are much more compact.
@Ladammerouge4 жыл бұрын
R M BLAKE I worked at a school that had the setup you described. It was used for the criminal justice program. I think it cost about $40,000 to get everything in place. That was 9 years ago. I got to participate in an active shooter scenario in courtroom. It was pretty intense and a awesome training tool. The schools instructors were state certified and the space was often rented out to police as a training facility. That equipment is not cheap and it looks like Mike missed a bunch of things in the dumpster.
@RMBlake0074 жыл бұрын
@@Ladammerouge Yes, you are right, the simulators are very expensive. That's cool that you were able to participate. I have also used the set up in my own career training. Yes, Mike missed a bunch of stuff, but it's one of those things, if you have never seen this type of set-up, you don't know what you have so it would be extremely unlikely for someone to recognize it for what it was.

You got a bunch of stage production gear. The wireless stuff can be used for guitars & mics etc. That big black bag you refereed to is a Back drop for stage so audience doesn't see behind the event to back stage. They are VERY EXPENSIVE. Those two pole things are so you can drop it from the ground for load out. The white airline case is a component rack. You wheel it in take front & back off to hook up cables. for load out you drop cables replace covers & your out. Everything is kept safe & hooked up to each other in travel and ready to go for next time.
