Steph you would not believe what Good Will and other Thrift Stores do! They throw away a lot of good things people can use. They are now selling things 3x higher than before. I know because I went dumpster diving and found a 60. Dollar lamp in the trash along with shoes, purses, kitchen aids etc….

The time people need help the most, all thrift stores are going up in their prices. I know they have overhead etc., but people still need a place to get things they need as cheaply as possible. It’s so sad.

Have you ever checked apartment or dorm dumpsters at end of the month when people are moving out. Others have found great stuff when people are moving or college kids are moving out. Just a thought.

Any time you see those devider hanging shelves things. They can have some thin pieces of wood in each one and hung securely on the ceiling for cats to have there own condo. Shelters would love this idea if you explain to them. Right?

Interesting video I prefer to refer to such efforts as dumpster shopping lol most of what I find is given away to whoever needs it or to charities.old back packs are packed with useful items and given to homeless folks I look it as if you get a bit of luck spread it around. The old biblical imperative of the faithful steward "what have you done with what has been given to you" since you don't see a u haul following the hearse trying to help someone works for me
