i enjoy watching this channel. There used to be a show in the 80's called Night Ride, it was basically a car driving around Toronto late at night. This is similar but slightly more evolved. Keep up the great videos of our beloved city.

Barring any planetary or unhinged calamities, these videos of every day Toronto life in our time form a sociological gold mine for future generations to come. I hope that they are being archived as a hedge against unpredictable changes.

Probably not. Once all the Canadians have fled, all that will be left will be miserable blandness with no Canadian cultural identity.

@@lesoram6236 Resorting to Insulting, belittling, or ignorance doesn't hide the fact Canadian culture is being deliberately eroded for the benefit of those would profit from its demise. You are not the solution, you are the problem. A problem that is all too apparent to anyone who would care to look. Thankfully times are changing and there are many among us who are willing and able to eradicate those who mean to harm a once prosperous and envied civil society. With Canadian currency virtually worthless and Canadians suffering the indignity and humiliation of enforced poverty, there are many Canadians willing to stand when called upon to do so.

I lived in Toronto from 1978 to 2002. I was down on these streets at least every weekend, from 1981ish until the late 90s/early 2000s. To be honest, when watching this, I had a hard time recognizing anything around the Yonge/Dundas intersection, as almost everything in that area from the 80-90s has been replaced....So, very educational video in terms of bringing me up to date with what my hometown looks like in 2024.....Not sure it's an improvement....

While I like your video I do have some concerns on your statement at 37:48 stating that "I do have some accessibilitiy concerns over these gates". That historic gate, dates back to roughly 1865 , tradition says that the gates on Queen Street, with their narrow openings, were designed to prevent cows from passing through. This might have been a possibility when the east wing of the hall was constructed in 1829, as the site was to the northwest of the town of York. However, by the year 1866, the city had grown considerably and extended into the area where Osgoode Hall was located. The design was likely an attempt to mimic the styles of Mother Britain. So just like Dunas Square, I would recommend not commenting on such historic sites as Osbgoode Hall, as that too would end up costing Toronians millions of dollars to remove or replace the current fence, because those politicians have no concern for budgets, especially Mayor Chow.
@JohnnyStrides
@JohnnyStrides 13 күн бұрын
It was merely a (valid) observation. I understand and appreciate the history of the gates, that doesn't make them any more accessible though. I'll continue to express whatever I feel like, t'is my channel after all. The Dundas Square renaming being extremely wasteful (and idiotic) is a drum I'll bang until the cows come home.

One thing that's really striking about these walks of daily life in Toronto, is the absence of Canadians. The WEF have been really successful at replacing the local population with so many varied people that Toronto is in serious danger of losing it's Canadian identity. Without the Canadians who built it, Toronto will become just another ghetto lost in a sea of obscurity with no identity. The upshot of that will be Toronto will not be the Toronto that people will want to visit, because they will want to see a Toronto that no longer exists. The WEF have done this all over the world. In Sweden, the Swedes have fled, In Paris, Parisiennes have fled and London is a place where you have to be careful not to step in brown sticky stuff that's all over everywhere. Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and so many other major cultural iconic cities have all been subjected to the WEF experiment of mixing up the world's people and cultures, to the point of dull grey miserable blandness, that engenders misery for all of the participants.
@ChrisCarson
@ChrisCarson 14 күн бұрын
In case you're wondering what blandness looks like, it's where nobody gets anything and everybody gets nothing. The morons at the WEF who did this had no idea what the consequences were going to be.
