Nice video. My grandmother was born and raised here in Dundee, and my late father was born in the nearby town of Broughty Ferry. My grandfather was from St. Andrews. They immigrated to the US in the 1920s.

Hello, Wonderful footage of Dundee!!! Would you consider creating a film going more into the town. Also be brilliant to see a film on Broughty Ferry and other nearby areas and the local Castles. Be cool to see one of the pubs, bakeries etc. My husband is from Dundee, living in Canada, watching your video is pure nostalgia, we truly appreciates your work. Think you would get a lot of interest. Thank you

Dundee may not be the biggest city in Scotland but I think it's defo the most modern/futuristic

Lots of investment going into the city in the next 2 years especially at the waterfront. Hopefully Covid 19 will be a thing of the past by then.

I hope, as an old fella, that I will still be around when (and if) the new Eden Complex will be completed in the old gasworks area in East Dock Street. So, in addition to the V & A, there will be two world-class attractions, as well as the many fine foodie businesses and good accommodation.

Nice video, I see alot of changes there in comparison to 15 years ago. Some of those ugly monstrosities look out of place and don't suit the city of Dundee. That's my opinion.

Are you talking about the modern buildings built in the last few years? They've actually improved the look of the riverside.
@brandonmcintosh3373 жыл бұрын
@@Revolver1981 The Riverside buildings are alright. Not them. I agree that they have improved the area, as I was there back in 2009 at the eat as much as you like Chinese restaurant. It's nice to look at and I remember what it was like back in the day when I used to visit Dundee regularly. It's the other architecture elsewhere in the city that I feel looks out of place. I'll give you an example, the Grove accadamy school in Broughty Ferry where the Eastern primary and Monifieth High have merged into one, they constructed a monstrosity of a building that looks so out of place. It took away the plain fields they used to have by ruining the view of the home owners who live around there. It looked better before. The old tower blocks at the top of the hill in Dundee had to be demolished, they looked horrible. The ones near the city centre not far from the wellgate center.

@@brandonmcintosh337 The 60's and 70's buildings have destroyed so many areas all over the country. Some of them have been demolished and others have been re cladded or over cladded and painted and actually look quite good, like completely different buildings.
