Spy satellites with shifting is an easy pickup for two guaranteed points, but the play that was made also cool. Just found the fact shifting’s draw back being mitigates by spy satellites and spy satellites giving the extra fremen point interesting

In the last round stealing back the emperor + going down on an insignificant line while not losing points thanks to spy satellites

grimnebulin here. can't believe I lost that early combat because of Calculated Hire (no fair!!!). It would have set me up for an early swordmaster with money from shipping. I think that's why I passed on the juicy spice harvest and went to smuggling. It worked; I got my swordmaster, but I still had a very slow start (and didn't use Tessia effectively). Still watching; was a weird game but very fun.

Is Spy Satellites just a busted tech? Perhaps less busted in Epic Mode… it seems way too cheap/strong.

It's not busted. It's usually a point or two but it hamstrings your actions to keep your "value".

@@hidden-assets well 2 VPs for 4 spice to not go to Bene or Empire factions anymore (most of the time) seems like a pretty good deal! I felt like it decided my last 3 4p games (the person who won got Spy Satellites each time). Perhaps we’re not blocking enough!

@@Circaa177 It's not that simple though, the spice and potentially action you take have no benefit at the time and it's easy to spend the spice but then kinda struggle to go from there if your economy is tricky. Plus a lot of the faction spaces are pretty good to visit so deciding not to go there can really limit your options. Plus everyone knows you have it, not like an endgame intrigue which is a mystery. It's need more work then it looks imo.

Personaly I didn't like epic mode. Is to much conflict oriented…. .
