Some minor feedback: When they massed up to prep on you, you could have canceled truce on Corrino to prevent them from flying into your territory. After Vernius attacked you, your monitoring stations + missile turret was able to kill their assassins. Once you forced truce on them, their assassins were safe to walk back in and you can see this happen in the vod. Forcing truce on Ecaz would have probably been a better play than forcing on Vernius. Still, was a great game to watch.

Corrino was flying up with their Cronus flagship that would have served as an airfield regardless--I was mostly happy that they weren't just joining in the deathball with the others. You might be able to win consecutive 1v1 battles, but you'll never win a battle 2 or 3 v 1. I messed up and misunderstood the Jessica cooldown, I thought it was per player not global. So I was expecting to be able to peace vernius then still peace Ecaz if needed but ran into the cooldown.

I like the idea of the first Fremen agent to be employed by the Atreides, went on to be a CHOAM stock broker.

You shoulda won that Ecaz tourney game. That game was amazing. That harkonnen player is a real menace. 2 straight wins. Rushing the ice cap every game. His play has been wild.

Thanks! He plays in different circles than most of us in the Turin-aments, so we didn't have a lot of experience with his style. Kudos to him for two straight wins, but if I had been leaning into rushing hedge he would have single handedly given me the game by suiciding 3 armies into triple champions.

Found you via turin and love it so far. Would u consider a collab with him to make an unofficial tier list? Maybe do a general one and then one for the different victory types? Seems like an untapped treasure trove as i dont see others doing it and this game has finally come into its own

Turin doesn't like collabs, he really prefers just solo casting. I will likely get around to another learning video about factions and win conditions before too long here. Thank you!

Even though Jessica is prob more competitive, I have more fun with Thufir I think. I really can't stress enough how annoying an Atriedes can be sneak-capturing villages and fast building airfield and missile defences, and 1000hp milita :P I liked Duncan but Paul feels weaker. You lose out on your first reveal for a promise of free reveals on the 2nd/3rd etc later but only if after allying. But since sietches ally very slowly, you gotta start ASAP and actively hunt their locations with treasures and scans. And you don't know what general way to expand to. And they start at 30 instead of 80, which is a huge downgrade.

@@daevohk Hah! I saw a Turin game where he ran out of supply going after the first spice field, due to mountains in the way and a distance to the village. If it was a little further walk, his troopers would have died before finishing the fight.

Atreides Foremen feels very good, you can parlay good map spawn into CHOAM or make enough money to survive if you’re boxed in on 2 spice. Having Paul does really open up your agent assignment options, I hadn’t really considered that aspect of him that once you ally a sietch he produces the authority of two agents on arrakis

I know you already know this but you had to liberate the sink from Vernius the moment he broke the truce with you. Can't touch tips with those cyborgs!

@@apoleonschneider Liberating sink was certainly on my mind but I was afraid it would drag the lobby's attention too much--we saw how that worked out! As it was I just went with the assumption that all those border lands 100% had infiltration cells in them. And Corrino is fantastic this patch without being pure filth like last patch. I have played a bit and loved them.

I think, for me, Yueh is better than Jessica. Knowledge and unit health. Like, if someone wants to try to kill you, they're gonna do it.

I am still not a fan. I certainly misunderstood the cooldown on her too, i thought it was per faction not overall on the ability. I was hoping to be able to truce 2 or more guys and force more betrayals. Also you can see when I really wanted to truce out Corrino they just betray right away and keep on killing. I'd have been better served by a prepared Ceasefire operation.

You can and should! I was very light on the intel this game though, if I'd had more I would have been funding CeaseFires to save time on some of the invasions.
