The new grafting mechanism allows for fun new combo plays

Being able to clear the Imperium row with the new Family Atomics token clears up the frustration of the row getting clogged up

I have a lot of issues with immortality. Combo potential is amazing with the new specimen cards but hoping a good one comes out during set up sucks. Tleilaxu infiltrator for example is awesome, but getting to the end of the research track to get the intrigue card is herculean if you actually want to still win. By the time you reach two strands it's already super late in the game, unless you laser focus on buying research cards that hopefully come up in the imperium row or always doing a Research play, ignoring influence gains. The chances of really making a card like that go off is very slim.

I just bought everything for Dune Imperium and expect it to be delivered later this week. I am curious about the Dune Imperium: Uprising that is said to be a stand alone game that can be played with the expansions. I love that it adds Sandworms to the game. I like that solo play does not seem to be an after thought but a seamlessly integrated play option. I'm definitely going to play the base game solo a few times to learn it prior to adding Ix then adding Immortality. With luck, I will feel comfortable with the game when Uprising is released, which I have every intention of buying.
