Dune 2 was breathtaking. It’s a fascinating story at such a large scale. My jaw was dropped for the entire final act and Timothee Chalamet has become a proper movie star. You can literally see him grow up and mature in this movie. Zendaya and Austin Butler are scene stealers. Dune needs to be a franchise at the level of Star War but needs to be protected over anything else.

I’m from Denmark and watched this in IMAX as well. Yet, you guys are talking about the format switching back and forth between Imax and standard? The screening I saw was ALL FULL IMAX, except for when they looked through binoculars 👀 Might it be a bit different for those 70MM Imax-showings, maybe? 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for this video, very cool to hear people’s reactions 🙏

Sounds like you had 1.9:1 IMAX, which is a shorter screen than a full 1.43:1 IMAX, which is closer to a square. The entire movie was filmed in at least 1.9:1 with some sequences in the full 1.43. search up Dune 1.43:1 online, you'll see what a full frame looks like. It's gargantuan. Full IMAX is rare, and a lot are "lieMAX" because they don't have that full size. They're still nice, but not the original.

I truly loved Dune Part Two! The first one was so good but this one was this was truly cinematically beautiful!! It was perfect in every way but I only had one problem with it. Cinema is subjective. There isn't a single movie that appeals to every single person. Majority of people find Dune a very compelling, interesting, intriguing story including me. I love this movie with a burning passion and i can't get it off my mind. If you don't like it, that's fine!
