I agree with Gavin. Looking forward to following, I’ve just ordered a new troopy and I’m planning on doing the same thing with the sound deadening. Great stuff keep it up!

John - epic. I'm still chasing my Spy Rocks over here in the desert. The search never ends. Hope to do it again back home one day. Good to hear from ya!

Gday Carlisle, I'm currently doing the same to my troop just love this product with what I've done so far, haven't done the roof yet, taking me a bit longer than you guys but was wondering did you use the 3mm or the 6mm insulation foam on the roof
@4wdtouring3 жыл бұрын
We squeezed the 6 in I think? It was really tight, but I reckon worth it. Takes all the ‘boom’ out and it was heaps cooler in the sun.

What’s the latest on the Troopy build ?
@4wdtouring2 жыл бұрын
Been having adventures in it! But seriously, I have a full build vid coming soon. Did a proper shakedown up the Gibb, and I go through every inch out at James Price.

How much of each product did you order and how much was spent on materials ? Looking to do the same on my troopy
@4wdtouring2 жыл бұрын
Hey Danny! It was a kit from @carbuilders. I think cost was a few hundred? We just added the roof foam insulation, which is cautiously recommended (we fit it in there but it was tight).
@christurner683 жыл бұрын
Which brand insulated layer did you use? I have also done the rest of my troopy with car builders but they could not sell me the insulation layer for the rood because of the problem you come across and solved in your build .
@4wdtouring3 жыл бұрын
It's all Carbuilders gear. They did warn us that it would be tight. Maybe because I was putting it in with an installer? If you're running a roof rack, it's probably a bit overkill, but it is possible to install despite the tiny space between the roof liner and ribs.

@@4wdtouring did you use the 3mm or 6mm? Thanks for replying👍

Great video on the install. How much weight would that have added?
@4wdtouring3 жыл бұрын
I did not weigh everything, but I did carry it. I’m going to say somewhere between 15-25kg? Not nothing, but a fair trade in my book.

Where does Carl work… I couldn’t hear what you said, except that he’s on the Sunshine Coast…
