One of the best examples of a shark ejecting its jaw is the goblin shark. It’s creepy as all hell.

Man, I know you guys probably have 10 thousand topics lined up and he's more of a 4e entity than a 5e one, but I feel like an episode on Pazuzu would be so damn juicy. If you think that Graz'zt is an interesting character, you'd probably love Pazuzu as well. The obyrith nature, the whole Beetlejuice summoning thing, the corruption of Asmodeus, the free wish granted with no strings attached... It's great stuff. A real shame he doesn't have a notable 5e footprint. I have a homebrew concept where Kenku were an offshoot of Aarakokra who had their flight taken away (still keep speech and creativity, so they're not a nightmare to roleplay). Explains their stat boosts being identical. The Kenku remain greedy and shady, but what's not known is that every Kenku sends off a portion of all the gold they collect to their secret city of Blackfeather, where the Kenku leaders are trying to accumulate enough money to bribe the Yugoloths into giving them Pazuzu's true name. They hope to make him give then their flight back and use the true name as insurance against being manipulated into ruin. You know, one of those classic plans that is clever, but just clever enough to be a TERRIBLE idea. Anyways, I'll Stan for the obyriths! Gimme Pazuzu! Gimme Dagon! Gimme Pale Night! Gimme Obox-ob! Gimme the Queen of Chaos!

And here I thought Pazuzu was just an old, one-off Simpsons thing. XD

I reskinned purple worms in my desert campaign to be sand worms. The major civilizations in the area has an entire hunters guild devoted to hunting these things down once every five years in expeditions because they basically have oil for blood (in my version) and a host of other useful properties. Instead of gems, they form a glass as sturdy as steel in their gut. I've reskinned monsters before, but I was quite proud of this one.

You should be, that's legitimately really cool. Always fun to think of a cool reskin of a monster.

Shoutout to you guys at The Dungeoncast - Really appreciate what you guys have done, are doing and have accomplished. I just started watching your channel about a week ago or so and the information Will provides (for the most part) and Brian plays off of and reacts to, or explains in layman’s terms, is EXTREMELY helpful and palatable to both veteran AND new DM’s/players. It’s far more organized and accurate compared to many other channels as well, and that deserves to be recognized and commended. This has been a big inspiration to me to get off my own ass and finally create a campaign arc I’ve always wanted to do, and while it’s in my nature to spend copious hours just surfing the various wiki’s and books for detailed info on monsters and lore, the opportunity to just passively listen to the information come to ME is very appreciated and cuts time when I’m busy with other things (like being a basement musician lol). So again, thank you guys, and thank you to those who have helped out both “on set” and fan-contributions! Going to check out what all I can do to personally help as well! FOR THE LORE!

I have liked and commented! I continue to serve the burrowing dungeoncast! Bleck! Don't even get me started on these abhorrent creatures! This weeks boon of knowledge is appreciated as always, but this paladin has no desire to hear about or see a purple worm ever again. They always show up at the most inconvenient times! I once was about to slay a drow high priestess to interrupt a ritual for lolth, a purple worm showed up and she escaped in the resulting chaos! I had once found a legendary treasure in the depths of the underdark, before I can take it, bam! A purple worm shows up out of nowhere, devours the treasure and borrows away never to be seen again! I had just saved a fair maiden once up on the surface. My very first maiden in fact. I was being quite successful in chatting her up, despite not being a bard, and was about to get a number for the first time ever, then you know what happened? A feckin purple worm shows up, consumes her, and proceeds to burrow away! Purple worms suck! I vow that if one should ever rear it's disgusting maw in the lands too knowledge and laughter, I shall gather a raiding party to exterminate the things! Less any more fair maidens be prevented from giving paladins their numbers... Thanks for another episode guys, this was great to wake up to. (I too am a creature of the night and slept during the day) Brian was right about great white sharks btw. They do basically just what he said. When they go to bite into prey their jaws sort of unhinge or something and lunge out to bite down on their prey. During that brief period where will mentioned that sometimes it's just fun to fight a big monster, It reminded me of an idea I had a few months ago I completely forgot about. Ok so picture this, somewhere in your world, you have this tower. Your players can choose to explore it if they wish, but the tower has no apparent connection to the main campaign. They find that each floor has set challenges to overcome, monsters that attack the players on sight. Even monsters fighting together that wouldnt normally have anything to do with each other. As the players ascend the floors each room has increasingly more difficult battles, the first floor might have goblins and kobolds, the 100th may have a beholder, a red dragon, and a storm giant. If the players die, they'll find that they mysteriously wake up unharmed outside of the towers entrance. The tower is basically meant to serve as a repeatable dungeon that players can delve into as many times as they please, and gain treasure and exp each time. Although a dm might have to find a way to balance this to prevent the players from becoming over powered. You could probably do a lot of cool things with this idea, from adding traps in some rooms that get deadlier and crazier the farther you progress, to reskinning the tower entirely to be a dungeon you descend into instead of a tower you ascend. I'm quite proud of this particular idea, so I'd hope somebody likes and uses this idea someday. Anyway that's all for now, will, brian, stay safe and have a good day ok?

The Dwarves of the Klemm of Taurau herd the prplerwrm to carve the main passages of thier kingdom, building harnesses and driving them like Shai hulud in offensives vs the drow. Also attach carts to them and put rails in their tunnels, building actual railroads. Fun times in the Klemm.
