I got pulled to and inside of him. After it happened each time I could no longer attack and none of the AI reacted anymore, it's like I just wasn't there or I was actually eaten by the ogre and they were waiting on him to shit me out. Both turn based, uses DND 5.0 ruleset (I like 3.5, there's less options in 5.0 for character creation, but that's my personal opinion), Baldurs gate looks prettier but there's nothing wrong with Solasta. The story is a more traditional old school fare, nothing spectacular but does the job, similar I guess to Dragon age. You can assemble your own party of four characters however you want, want a party of all mages or rogues, you can do that, mix and match how you like. The ragdolls are definitely the highlight of all this footage. As for animation lock, I somewhat disagree. I think Nioh did a great approach: You have basic attacks with no animation lock and special combos/skills with animation lock. But the game does 2 things to make animation lock acceptable: 1. The skills are much stronger than regular attacks, and most have extra properties other than simply doing more damage than regular hits. 2. The game itself gives you opportunities to use these skills without fear of eating damage due to animation lock, either by making enemies easily 'staggerable' (is this even a word?), allowing you to stun or knock them down onto the ground so you can use these skills with impunity and so on.

Bards Tale is going back a bit. I loved that game.
@fordprefect803 жыл бұрын
@@bushmonster1702 I sunk my teeth into it like no other rpg since. No auto map, you had to draw it all by hand on graph paper. Great game.

Even if it was bug free, this is not the game I wanted with Dark Alliance in the title.

Without the bugs it's got tons of potential so while your entitled to your opinion I don't think everyone wanted the same

All I can think of about it is the gameplay trailer, seeing the UI flashing status alerts "INVALID" on screen.

I think you are spot on, this is a mobile game parading as a full PC release.

@rochmel14093 жыл бұрын
So maybe Mack. you should start listing all the developers who don't send you keys? It would let us know which ones don't have faith in their products which would be interesting.

This is what gamers get when we buy into things like pre-ordering and endless DLC. It's especially what we get when we then go all fan boy for, say, Paradox and are like, 'It's okay Paradox, please keep scamming us by releasing games that are only 10% done! You're awesome, I love you, and you can do no wrong!" Please learn you lesson, people. Stop rewarding companies for doing almost no work. It's that simple.

Its interesting that the franchise that is synonymous with rpg can't make an rpg. I forgot how many dd games I've seen made that are duds

The frost killed you because you didn't stand next to the flaming sword to take on the Warmth status, thus providing you resistance to the cold.

They did this franchise dirty. Another reviewer played some of the sounds and they sound like amateur unity asset stuff. The particle effects look so over the top but remain generic. The characters just look off...I'm so disappointed they ruined a DnD game.

Do you guys remember what a true D&D is? Baldur's Gate i & II. Yes, i'm still playing it. There objective criteria of quality, despite one's taste. Baldus'r Gate is a fundament, a cornerstone.

4:04 I've heard of "Punt a Gnome", but I've never seen anyone playing "Launch a Dwarf". How can you say this is a bad game when you get to launch a dwarf into the stratosphere?! This game had so much potential. I hope they can clean up the mess and make a comeback. Would really love to see more "Left4Dead" genre games set in medieval high fantasy, but the games need to be actually good for that to happen.

This is end of June 2021 right now and I still play only 3 games. Bannerlord (with mods), Valheim, and 7 days to die. That's it. I don't even get slightly exited when I see any new "big games" rolling out. The only thing I really want try out is Manor Lords, and that's it.
