Honestly, with the limited quantity of gnome-based content we've seen in contemporary media, we all knew an appearance from Gnomeo & Juliet would be a given. But you really do have to respect Dunkey's bravery for including Benny in this list. In a cast of uncannily-human and "trendy" designs, his really stands out as a callback to tradition while retaining a fair bit of personal character -- And while I do not believe that any of us necessarily _condone_ Benny's actions or political leanings in any way, shape, or form, his overall aesthetic is something that definitely speaks for itself at face value. Keep up the great work

I always loved the explanation of gnome hats in "David the Gnome". They have to wear the massive hats because hawks and owls sometimes get confused and think the gnomes are mice or other small mammals, swooping down and eat them. In the "David the Gnome" lore all forest animals are supposed to be friends with the gnomes because the gnomes help protect the forest. The massive hats remind the birds that gnomes aren't for eating and block the beaks and talons.

I love this list. My son has a vast gnome collection and sent me this video. I was so happy at #3 and #1. David The Gnome was a favorite of mine, and the I still have the gnome guide book created by that artist at number one. I was surprised to see that the round gnomes with the big noses (#2) had a specific name. My son has a lot of those. Only thing missing were the gnomes from Gravity Falls. They puke rainbows. I love that.

Ah you see, goblins are actually the rivals of gnomes thanks to Armadillo Jonathan giving goblins power over death, which they used to enslave gnomes. Rafiki was actually their leader until Siegfried the Space Dolphin’s 3rd gnomish crusade. Honestly I am completely disgusted you would even mention the scary, mean goblins on a pro-gnome video. That is, in my opinion, very bigoted of you and you need to be sent to Gnomcatraz, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I dont know if you met her because of your success on youtube, but if you did, that is truly a sign that youtube could bring a person meaningful happiness in life. Watch the whole series of the gnomes tv show. The ending will blow you away with the depth and I am tearing up now just thinking about it. What Leah neglected to consider about the number 9 spot is that they are seen actively casting spells and various magics. Now, I for one do not condome the Gnome culture so haphazardly revealing its secrets in this manner. For this reason, they should be at the number 10 spot.

As a swede I'm really happy to see swedish childrensbook author Astrid Lindgren mentioned here. Perhaps most famous internationally for creating Pippi Longstocking but has written many beloved stories such as Ronja the Robbers Daughter and Mio, my Son. She is even pictured on our 20 sek bank bill. There's an anime adaptation of Ronja made by Goro Miyazaki from Studio Ghibli which I can strongly recommend to people of all ages. Thank you Leah and DunkMan. You two are my favourite couple on youtube. Keep on keeping on.
