That works for you because you already had a good follower base that boost something you post right away. If you have a small following you can post 2-3 times a day for months (yes, I have friends doing this) and grow nothing while thousands of people see you reels.

Great video 👍 I think I got a bit numb over the past few years when it comes to growth on social media. Ultimately it doesn’t really help when it comes to the money department because these platforms rarely pay well. So at the end of the day it is promotion for another product or a fun side project. And if you are like me and don’t have a product to promote, you begin to wonder why you even become a algorithm slave for your fun side project. Not worth it. I honestly believe that we are slowly approaching a point where many creators will burn out and seek other avenues because these algorithm focused platforms just suck the soul out of any creator who wants to take it seriously long-term. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk!

I definitely like the side of the reels where it forces me to be creative, make content and edit the videos. Doing these things as much as you did is definitely going to improve your skills just simply because you are creating something every day. But on the other hand, they do take a lot of time to produce especially when it’s not what I do for a living. They are super fun though! 👍🏼

All what you've said above sounds exactly what I keep noticing is what makes a creative content successful on Instagram. But for someone who is an artist who creates work that takes days, it's hard to post it in real-time every single day. Another artist mentioned to me here on KZbin that documenting your process is exactly what I could do instead... and not just for the dopamine hit ones. Right now I just want to take a break off of Instagram for now, re-strategize and prepare my documented/recorded work to get back on Instagram AND TikTok for about a month like a marathon for 30 days straight. These days you can't just do one reel but 3 to 4 reels a day to get that 100k to a million... and if the viewers are that hungry for content, I can't wait for that algorithm to switch back to interest-based focus and not just social-only focused. This is what I'm hearing right now: they're changing the algorithm again back to where it used to be. Cross all fingers for that.

I started doing this a few days ago, funny that im finding this now. I resonate with your point on being creative. So far I'm enjoying the journey of being creative again. I have so much trouble getting my head around the vertical quick vidz craziness. It's just a lot of work and time even more so if you're not a full time creator that's already editing all day.
