Salam Brother, im 17 & Hernia is genetic in our family. My father told me not to do gym & exercises. I don't have Hersia for now Alhamdulilah. Kindly tell me what type of Cardios can I do, I also did sometimes legs lifting which caused a bit abdominal muscles grow but now I stopped. So the Question is that would I never be able to do exercises for whole life or if I can then which abdominal exercises are good for me. Thanks May Allah give you ease.

My mom may have this as her ampulla of vatar is narrowing due to suspected tumor. There are also 4 hypoenhancing lesions on liver. Would this mean that surgery is not possible? What if the life expectancy for this,?

My father has duodenum adenocarcinoma stage 1 in D3 - D4 junction It hasn’t spread Can we go for normal D3-D4 resection surgery than the whole whipple surgery?

There are anatomic complexities, hence only a thorough assessment of scans and intra-operative findings may determine the extent of resection. Best to consult your surgeon. Good luck with your dad’s surgery - hope it all turns out ok.

Endoscopy revealed metaplasia in my duodenum, right at the point before dysplasia, and it is very inflamed. Healthcare in my area is very sparse, and I’m not able to get out to a gastroenterologist ~ i’m finding that I just can’t eat very much anymore. The pain is too much. There was other issues in a colonoscopy as well taken on the same day and those issues are not being addressed and I feel like I’m going to perish.

@@ShajJan-r4uhai bro 7months back dad underwent whipple surgery but they didn’t do it as the blood vessels were involved in it and they had done GJ surgery and suggested palliative chemo. Post 7 months there is no spreading but yesterday there was a bleeding from his cancer tumor in the duodenum and doctots did radiotherapy to stop the bleeding Took opinion of the doctors to go for the whipple surgery and they were not willing to do so as there were bloodvessels involved in it and its a high risk and high morbidity Dont know what to do now @thesurgicalscholar sir any suggestions on what to go ahead with the treatment of my father

My son is getting ready to have this procedure. Using keytruda to shrink the tumor in the first and second section of duodenum. There’s no evidence it’s spread to Pancreas or liver. The tumor originated from the large intestine and spread to duodenum. Lynch syndrome MLHI….. he’s 32 years old. First dose of Keytuda was started 3 days ago… after he’s recovered from Whipple they will remove the large tumor in his large intestine and do colon resection.

If the duodenal cancer has spread to the liver, what is the overall prognosis if chemo is the only option???
@thesurgicalscholar

Metastatic spread of duodenal adenocarcinoma to the liver unfortunately is a non-curative situation.

@@thesurgicalscholar what about ablating the liver lesions followed by wipple and then preventative chemo?

@@thesurgicalscholar why is it The the big cancer center like Md Anderson able to cure stage 4 by doing the above steps ( liver ablations/ resections along with chemo and then a Whipple if everything has shrunken). I have spoken to numerous survivors that went through these steps at the big cancer centers and still living 3 to 5 years plus NED. Even though there is always a likelyhood it may come back, it is still a good chance to prolong life rather than just the usual prognosis of about a year with just chemo.I don't get why other hospitals refuse to go this route, it is very frustrating.
