Bingo! Private property ownership is non existent in Vietnam. Citizens just as in China can only lease property to privately reserve it. In China it’s limited to a maximum of 70 years then the government has absolute rights to terminate their lease with their tenants and return to them an equity investment price if any to the property owner that the state determines. Miss Lang’s situation, like the Chinese Evergrand realtor and banking fraud & embezzlement could only have been accomplished with the knowledge and corroborating corruption of Vietnamese Government officials.

At the same time, let her face the weight of losing everything she has, her freedom included, while opening a small window of hope for restoring the victims-if not fully, then as much as possible.
