Again, great update & reporting Ken. I lol at the comment career mistake that she said. Oversight & whistle blowing is so important. We in the US experience the same scams. I’ve done turnarounds, restructured all types of properties in my 50 years in business. I’d be happy to step in w your firm and make Vietnam proud and all those properties profitable. It’s not that hard.

In America the biggest bank JP Morgan Chase manipulated the price of gold. They made Billions, but guess what. Only 2 ppl went to jail for like one year. JP Morgan Chase made like 50 Billion in the fraud but only had to pay 920 million in a fine. Lesson: Do the crime and worry about the small fine later. Also your punishment is determined by how many Lobbyist you have.

The questions are : Why does it take so long (so many years) for these cases to be caught? Considering the humongous amount involved, does the lack or the weakness of laws play a role in falicitating these scams? There must be corruptions from related gov. agencies, going to the highest levels. There are dozen of such cases, maybe more. Does the government not have auditors doing their jobs? When there are programs involving huge transactions of funds, are they not audited?

@@duongglobalbusinessconsulting I was stationed in VN in 1968-69 and became very close to my hooch girl in Bien Hoa. she lived in Cho Lon. You’re missing one very key point here. The man who was in charge of the country when she was being prosecuted, Nguyen Phu Trong, is gone now. He was the one who initiated the Burning Furnace Campaign. Now, the new man in charge, To Lam, was a disciple of former PM Nguyen Tan Dung who was her confidant from the old regime. She made a lot of her wealth through Dung and vice-versa.

G’day Ken, What is funny is that friends of mine are starting to hear about it now. I brush it aside & tell my friends Ken from Duong Global keeping me upto date from the very beginning but it adds to the perception that Vietnam is corrupt. I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets away from it because hanging a woman in this day and age doesn’t look good in today’s woke community. She will get 10 years & out in 6 years for good behaviour. Can you do a story on those 2 French bastards that got caught in District 1 without passports & graffiti the buildings in District 1. The police caught them, arrest them, fined them, & deport them & made them clean up the graffiti. That is gold I wish they do the same here in Australia. They will make a movie about her & she will be the president one day, she will be the underdog that won. Great Story Cheers Louis Kats your number 1 Fan in Melbourne, Australia 👍 🇦🇺 🇻🇳

I really do not understand why she gets not a strong legal guardian who will do all the liquidation right away. All former lenders to her would have just bad luck. That comes when you deal with criminals. In my opinion the government should put the soft gloves away, but what do I know.

If she never got busted she would never be offering up all these properties and to pay back the victims. She's just preparing herself so she can have a softer landing. Typical behavior of criminals that are guilty. Her lawyer is probably advising her and telling her exactly what she needs to do.
