Mit welcher Kamera filmst du eigentlich? Minute 1:01 sieht aus wie mit dem Handy?
@hoppline Жыл бұрын
Hahah....gut gesehen!

@FoilingPastor Жыл бұрын

What I still wanted to ask, how strong is the deck and rails on the Cruzader, no heel dents under the pad yet?
@hopplineАй бұрын
Do you mean the Gong Cruzader or the Duotone SLS? The Gong was not the strongest board, I had a few cracks but no pressure dings. Did not keep it for very long. The SLS was way more sturdy and I did not get a single dent or crack but I have to say that I am only 65kg and treat my boards very good.

What about the cruzader hipe? Thoughts on that?
@hoppline Жыл бұрын
Hey, I am not a fan of inflatables and don't have much experience, but everyone seems to like the Cruzader Hipe. Not only what I heard on KZbin and in the comments, but also on my local spots and talking to friends. A lot of people love it for low wind winging and it seems to be very durable and good for traveling. I guess it's sacrificing a little speed and performance but offers other strong benefits.

I love ❤ my HIPE Cruzader. You can just throw it into your van, no need for bags, rail saver tape, no dings from hitting the board with your paddle etc. I initially just bought it for traveling but it became my go to board. To be honest, it lacks a bit of efficiency on paddle ups compared to the KALAMA shapes, however if it’s blowing more than 20kn, you can pretty much paddle up on ANYTHING if you train hard enough 😅. The smaller 7‘6 IS a bit tippy, tough…at least at 85kg. But FASTER since it only is 21“ wide. I have a few reviews in the pipeline, if you‘re interested…🤙

Yep. Thanks I will. Glad, you’re interested and open-minded and not focused on just ONE brand. 👍I‘ve done a few unpacking and riding Impression videos on the GONG Hipe Cruzader inflatable and other pieces of equipment. But to be honest, my production quality still sucks compared to your work. (old GoPros, bad lighting and mic quality). But always willing to learn from the best…that’s why I‘m here. 😊Stay salty 🤙

@@mistersuperstoked Being in front of the camera is so much harder than I thought!!!! I think every video you make, makes you better, stronger and faster, but it takes a lot of time and often in the end I am not as satisfied as I thought I would be. But I learned to appreciate the way and the progress instead of always comparing to better KZbinr, better equipment, drone footage and so on. I still film all my videos with my mobile phone and as much as I would like to have a decent camera set up, I rather have an extra vacation at the ocean instead (-:

how do you afford to buy so many boards?
@hoppline Жыл бұрын
Very good question!! I invest a lot of time and money into this channel as I love what I am doing and hope to find a way to make a living from this. But right now it is a big spending hole (-: ! I usually keep the stuff only for a limited time and sell things before they are outdated, leaving me with a big investment upfront but in the end only a small loss. This only works as long as I don't break things but unfortunately I break a lot (-: ! From time to time I do ask companies for a discount for gear I want to test, sometimes it helps, sometimes not. For me it is very important to stay independent and honest so I don't want to be tied to a specific brand. There will be some "hoppline" merchandise shortly and with a growing audience I will hopefully find a way to make this all work as I really enjoy what I am doing here ....
@FoilingPastor Жыл бұрын
thank you for your explanation. I am struggling with the same challenges. I would like to test a lot, but don`t want to spend all my money on gear and since Switzerland is a small country, it`s difficult to sell some things. Out of curiosity: What gear did you break so far? Wishing you lots of success with your dream. I guess it will be difficult, since the foiling industry is still quite small...@@hoppline

@@FoilingPastor Yeap, it's gonna be a hard journey but at least one I really enjoy (-: ! Selling in Germany works quiet good, we also have a local group for selling and sharing stuff. But as I am doing this as a self employed person, it's also a lot of paperwork and bureaucracy. I broke heaps, and not only my stuff. I broke several foils, stabis, boards and wings. I guess I broke more wings than I did not break (-: I try to take good care of my gear but in the right conditions, with the right people things get wild fast......
