I was there too, was thrilled when they performed this. Heard it many many times as was B side on The Reflex single. Luckily saw all 5 of them live twice in 6 months when they all got back together. Unfortunately they haven’t performed this since, not here in the UK anyway.

VARIETY is the key :) ....as long as a person can sing well and hold the key I don't think there could ever be a bad version of this song.....a timeless classic. You'd be amazed at how musicians I've seen fall on stage. The strangest one was Dave Gahan who went flying at shepherd's Bush empire in 2003 and landed up with a bloody nose and a few cuts to his face. It happens and sometimes it is funny but then I see Madness in Leicester in 2010 and the sax player fell off the stage and landed up breaking his ribs and having to miss the rest of the tour. Dangerous being in a band at times 😉

@@zofo264 from what I recall, Steve Harley’s band left him bc they wanted to play harder music (metal) and also bc he basically wrote all the songs and didn’t give them any credit. They were working for him snd had had enough of him. So he wrote it about their split. Andy kind of did the same thing in the 80s. Left the band to do his own solo thing, more hard edged music. Looking back I kind of now don’t think my original thought is really the case but one never knows. These guys were all really close. A family. The rest of the band still are today. It’s sad to know now the state Andy is in with his prostate cancer. We are always sending him love and strength!! We love you Andy!! You’ll always be the coolest guitarist in the amazing Duran Duran❤️

Andy has always had a rock vibe, after joining The Powerstation and continuing his solo career, his looks have always been top notch. When he joined for the 2nd time in Duran Duran I didn't recognize him, he was very different when he was in the band for the 1st time, I understand that he likes his hair long. When the face of the face was different and he put on the glasses he became unrecognizable and he never took those glasses off again.

I understand that Andy likes the rock'n'roll side. His hair looked very different in the 80's and 90's. Now the only thing he never took off were these glasses when he came back for the 2nd time. I think he has sensitive eyes because of the bright lights in the show.
