Many years ago, someone told me that Simon Le Bon wrote this song and gave it to John Taylor because Simon had concerns about John and the "friends" he was going out with and a way of reminding him to focus on the band and their future because those friends would hold him back. Wherever the truth, it's an interesting story and an interesting song.
