If you notice they all are really great musicians. This band is not afraid to take risks. Most of the band never change their sounds and play safe music and stick to their core sound while duran duran never repeat albums.

This must have been one of the worst phases of Duran Duran. Totally uninspiring performance and they sound horrible here (this image and set of band members do not suit their original aesthetic). I am glad they reunited in 2004 and have been back in form ever since.

@@slowfire71 Yes that whole phase of DD from 1986-2000 is something quite forgettable despite the fact that they released two amazing songs such as 'Ordinary World' and 'Come Undone'. Anyway, this can be forgiven because from 'Astronaut' album and beyond, they have made really decent albums maybe with the sole exception of 'Red Carpet Massacre'. Their last two albums, including the most recent 'Future Past' are modern day classics, up there with their self-titled debut album and 'Rio'. So, it is all good now. :-D

The problem that John and Le Bon wanted to get back to being Chic meets Roxy Music. While Nick and Warren was trying to find a more psychedelic sound of the future, even if that meant sounding like Primal scream

Just that Duran Duran trades off the R&B meets nostalgia trip. Becoming Primal Scream was just Warren and Nick’s taste
