I have had the pleasure and privileges growing up a teenager during the 80’s and i DJ’ed for a mobile DJ company and i played this remix alot in the day! I bought alot of 12” in Tulsa OK in a place called Peach’s Record and tape’s when Vinyl was still the thing! And This was a staple rotation of alot of my sets in the day god i miss 💃 disco!!! God I’m old!

You can't compare a remix to an original. They are for totally different markets. And recording music is an expensive formality - where any chump can remix on a cheap laptop, in his underwear, in his bathroom.

@@bobboberson2024 I think we'll have to agree to disagree. The original version is pretty bland for me, it really lacks something. This remix adds that something extra and immediately makes it more interesting and likeable. And, when the band play this song live, they do this version.

You can't really disagree with the recording and marketing process. But you can like this better, of course. There are many remixes that are more intriguing than the album version - including most of the Duran Duran "Night" versions. But you can't play them on the radio, for example. Maybe I haven't heard a great Nevins mix yet? I'd rather hear an Adam K & Soha take a turn.
