R Talav, excellent video that popped up on my feed today! Coincidently enough, I just went through this exact issue with my 2006 Journey (in June 2024). The rod on the door paddle (like on this video) was broken and stuck. I got a junkyard plenum half, both actuator switches, and both blend doors for about $35. I rinsed the felt off both doors, replaced and greased them up, changed both actuator switches and tested it out; still the air was not cold. The incoming AC pipe was cold though, but it seemed the pipe coldness ended at the expansion valve. Since the area was opened up, I changed out the expansion valve and condenser which were not too difficult to R&R, or expensive (30 minutes if exposed). It cools now. In the end, it was definitely the expansion valve that was clogged up with blend door issues interfering with the troubleshooting.

I have a 07 too. Been in the shop last 2 days. Mechanic is saying the back system was clogged and something about by passing it so no heater will be ever working. But that he still not satisfied with how cold it’s getting front or back. Changed compressor, condenser, dryer etc. cleaned lines or replaced them I’m assuming. Didn’t get hot or cold in the rear. And the front only blew a little cold in the mornings and and nights, along with while on freeway. Heater worked in the front. Both motors seemed to work

Excellent video, I'm having precisely the opposite problem on my '04 Durango. Plenty of cold air, but no hot air. I wonder if I have the same problem though.

The blend door could be stuck in the opposite direction. Best way is to watch in action. Is it turning, mine did but the shaft spun (door was stuck down).

@@kittynjj1 mine have the same problem that yours, dont blow cold air, I have a question if I only want cold air were should I put the door up or down?

@@kittynjj1 another thing I touch the evaporator lines with the rear air conditioner and they are not cold as well, did they have to be cold when is on? I refer to the rear evaporator lines.

@@edgardotoro2196 Don't have the vehicle anymore but the door was down(gravity) and wouldn't get the cool air.

@@edgardotoro2196 Those lines should get cold when you run the rear AC. You might wanna see if its charged. Much easier than pulling everything apart to look.

I am sure you got a price by now.... Cheap! Dollars, If it's just plastic and no wires hanging from it, I can usually get it cheap.

The pelinum door breaking is common both front and back...no heat issue is usually due to small electrical pump located in engine compartment

This is a 2007 Dodge Durango. There is an AC unit under the dash and one above the rear wheel (dual climate control). This is the one in the rear.
