The easiest way I’ve found to get the ever burn sword from the Cambion in the helm on the nautilus is to use shadow hearts command spell, but you’ll have to go into her spells and prepare it since she doesn’t have it prepared by default. Then just keep using it on him until it works and make him drop it, grab it and run

So glad you're doing this. Haven't gotten all the way through your other run, but this topped my favorite games list when I finished it. And it gets better as a durge. It's kind of unfortunate that durge looks spooky to new players, because the game is so much more interesting as a durge. Can't wait for this.

Awesome! I finally bought BG3 a couple months ago. Never played the first 2 games, and totally sucked at it. I watched a whole bunch of dumb videos about "how not to suck at BG3" and "Top 10 Items to feed to Gale" and they weren't helping at all. Then I found your playthru with Narrator and I really picked up the vibe of the game from you guys and now I'm having a lot of fun with it. But just yesterday I decided to stop watching any more of your Act 3 stuff until I finish my own playthru, because I made some different decisions and stuff is happening in a different order, and its hard to avoid spoilers. But now I get to start watching this!

I hope Kruz keeps Gale, Shadowheart & Lae'zel in her party this time around since she didn't explore their stories & classes much in her first run (tho I know she also considered turning Lae'zel into a Monk before). I also think Gale's the best romance partner tbh (he's even like a mix of Wyll, Astarion & Karlach in some ways lol).

If you're going to embrace the urge this time around, be prepared for a very difficult playthrough. Resist urge is my favorite storyline overall. Also, next time you're on the nautiloid, if you pick up both of the chests from the area Shadowheart's pod is in, you can block the entrance to the bridge so those reinforcements can't join in, giving more of a chance to get the Everburn Blade

Gloom stalker/ Assassin is the best that I have found for Astarian but there are other good ways to use him but having two attacks and getting bonuses for sneak attacks both nice bonuses

Glad to see BG3 making a return - it's such a good game. I hope Kruz will do a resisting the Dark Urge run rather than embrace it tho tbh lol - you lose out on a few cool abilities but it's a lot more enjoyable imo (i.e. the cutscenes/ story are more interesting).

oh wow your playthrough is already way different than my durge run lol I wasnt forced to naw off gales hands or kick the squirrel the later I did by choice though and Gales the one of the easier to keep with yourself

I made a mod to add sorcerous burst to the game from the 2024 rules. It took a WHILE. I'm not surprised there isn't an customization for the kuatoa race. I still can't get the psychic version of my spell to work.

90% sure it’s Kay’s Hair Mod. Happened to me too. Removed all the mods and without that one, everything was normal. Including origin character edits

I'm not sure whether or not the lore has changed, but dragonborn hate dragons and are typically aethiast. So a durge run wouldn't make as much sense as you'd think after they find out the source of the urge.

I don’t remember if you really used Shadowheart last play through, but I like to respec her as a Life domain cleric. Some of the items that you can get that have heal bonuses are kinda insane for when she heals. For later I like to use sanctuary and just have her buff and heal and not die lol

Also can't remember what diff your doing but double XP and level curve is going to feel so damn easy. I can only play on custom difficulty with all combat stuff turned up with honor mode stuff and a mod giving them more HP

I didn't keep the entire modding process in here (cause tedious and boring), but my chat told me spells and such get added in with the level mod I had, so there was no need to double up on mods. Also regarding your follow up comment, my next video/stream I've done I've been getting my ass kicked in fights. I've adjusted to custom as I didn't like the price gouging or the double supplies to rest.

@Kruzadar oh yeah that's why I do custom cuz I love honor mode boss changes but hate the camp prices. And I don't remember level curve adding much but if wanna check it out can look up the mod DnD5R spell list additions. Adds a bunch of new spells and some cantrips also.
