Giving an update today on both farm.I answer a few questions I get some funny to me.The durian farm is growing good and many of my fruit trees will be ready to pick soon and if any one that lives in Thailand would like to buy some fresh fruit let me know .

Well done video. Trees look great. I noticed that you didn't double plant everywhere in the new section. Any particular reason? Curious. Next time that guy will be telling you that you must pollinate your mangosteens!!! LOL! Burmese grape is a nice to have in the inventory. My few durian trees producing lots of leaves and they look nice and healthy...just not growing at all it seems. I thought I prepared the soil well, but.... Frustrating. Anyway...always look forward to the vids.

great video, very informative! noticed the mounds for the new trees are not as high the older ones. also configuration is mostly single instead of double trees. is this a better system as compared to the previous one?

I like the mounds better made them with a tractor versus a backhoe .much easier to cut the weeds and to attend to the trees. As for having one tree versus 2 we will have a lower yield per Rai but the maintenance is less . Overall it has its advantages.

Congratulations, the place looks great. That’s a lot of durian trees. I recently had my first tree begin the flowering process, seven years old. It’s a hybrid durian with a pink flower. Around here in Hawaii seven years is as fast as you could hope to get a flowering. I have three others olanted the same year, but did not flower, but all look very healthy.

Once the flowers open reduce the water for a week to ten days and then slowly return to normal watering . If there is too much water the small fruit will drop . After fruit starts to grow make sure new leaves don't start this also can lead to fruit dropping . Pink flowers that sounds awesome

@@TMDurianfarmer unfortunately I do not have control of my water I live in an area with 100 inch rainfall per year. We let the rain do all the watering. Fingers crossed.

I used my tractor to make the mounds . I did not bring in any dirt only used what was there 🙏

Hi, nice to see your new trees doing well! Love the pictures of the comparison with earth prep and without. Just did another 7 rai, but I dont stay in Thailand so, my parents in law did it, and it seems that they dont understand why it make sense to prep the earth in this way. Your pics are very helpfull to show them an example. I have two proposals for you, you could show the different veraitis of the same age in a video and show the difference in growth? And maybe a special about the pruning of the young trees and the older one, how you maintain it, to keep it in shape. It would be very interesst to see. My first batch is now about 5-6 m tall and I have to cut the top, but this is a new concept for my family, hard to teach new stuff to them 😂 . By the way, do you have a recommendarion of a book about vertilyser, where do you have your knowlage from? Thank you for your content! Santa

Your trees are close to producing 👍 I'll look into making vids like you suggested they will be helpful .The low top system in Thailand is new for a lot of farmers. There are many farms starting to do it and it is being recommended now . Most of what I know comes from many different places not one place . I have learned a lot speaking with many different farmers,to be upfront I'm still learning little tricks some by trial and error others by old timers . The durian industry is evolving and new ways are being adopted all the time from trial and error .

Love the videos, from canada Quick question my thia partner has land in the south songkhla province, it rains more in the during rainy season, if we did higher dirt mounds would that work that work for growing durian?

Yes definitely ,durian loves water being flushed over the roots so a bigger mound to prevent standing water is the key to growing in that area or on a side of a hill

Hi mate, bit of a different comment. I'm a long time watcher but never comment. I'm apparently in an area that can't grow it. I prepared soil 3 months ago and went to trat this week. I bought 2 just to try. I understand it will be difficult and possibly never happen but would like to try atleast one surviving for consumption. I'm dedicated and will give it my best go. Any pointers along the way. I added lime at the time of preparation to kill what's around. I understand if you don't have time to help me but I would really appreciate it.

Durian trees love water . make sure to water it everyday . I would buy a bottle of amino and mineral pack mix in a small spray bottle and spray it weekly this will help it grow fast and keep it healthy .if you have bug problems the ones that eat the leaves you should put a bug net around it until it's to big then weekly spray for bugs with your amino and minerals. You will need to spray once every two weeks with a fungicide . Do this and you have a very high chance of survival . That bug net will also act as a sun shade you will need it .

Will you enrich the soil for the trees that didn't get soil prep so they grow more evenly? Also will you replace the missing tree where one died off? Great work.!

Prepping the soil must be done before planting to give the tree that boast after the fact doesn't work . It will grow just a slow start. Any trees that die I'll replace in jun when the rain starts
