During the first 3 years of her life, she had horrid things done to her 💔

I posted Kiki last week and she’s sparked A LOT of questions and discussion. I can’t believe I have to even say this - I DID NOT mut!late Kiki. During the first 3 years of her life, she had horrid things done to her. Then she was blessed to meet her person who was in her life and cared for her for 20 years until she came here. Her person has grown ill and can no longer care for her.

Sadly there are groups that encourage people to get “exotic” animals then have these horrific surgeries performed on them. Vets who perform these procedures should have their licenses revoked.

But...the alternative is the client will put the animal down because it won't stop destroying carpet/furniture etc... And these owners would rather unalive these "pets" than give them new homes because they are selfish. So as a vet, what are your choices? Take out the claws or un alive a healthy animal? There's no law against these horrible people. 😢😢

@@annasdad8008 I do not own exotic living creatures, just 2 cats. In California, less and less vets perform declawing of cats. In case of cats, declawing is same as amputating the first digit of your fingers. How inhumane and horrific thing for us humans to do other living creatures.

​@@ericag4908Apparently she was bought by a circus of some sort when she was very small and they had her fangs and claws removed so she could be handled without risk of injury. Someone took her in eventually because she was mistreated and had kept her for quite a few years with good care and now she's in this sanctuary to live out the rest of her life.

If you check the backstory and videos, she has her "person". The woman who saved her from the zoo that mutilated her and cared for her for 13 years. She became ill and that's why Kiki is there now. Her "mom" is getting better and when she visited after many months and a long fight for her health, Kiki melted into her arms. The video is on this channel.

Seriously. I can’t have kids so my dog is my baby. He rescued me more than I rescued him and always think about him whenever it comes to making plans. If he’s using my lap as a pillow, I will not move no matter how hungry I am or how bad I have to use the bathroom. He took a liking to my pillow and my spot on my bed so both are now his. I will sleep in a corner at the foot of my bed before I make him move. I always tell people it’s his bed…he’s just kind enough to let me sleep in it.

The wild animal trade (live or dead) is horrific for SO many reasons…this little sweetheart is the living epitome of just how cruel it really is. Poor little girlie…I hope she overcomes her fear, as you’re very correct - that could really help her with her grooming issues.
