Loads of filmmakers around the world can learn a lot from the Iranians. This movie has loads of symbolism, political dissent, dissatisfaction (not just towards the government but also between the mother-daughter relationship). The villain is a Djinn in the form of a Chaddor, indicating the struggle of women against the obsessive and oppressive policing of women (through Burka and otherwise). But, the movie never gets preachy or puts the dissent in your face. The Iranian filmmakers have found art in circumnavigating the censorship.
