Caste system was something like grading system in society where the upper caste people who did not follow strict life style were downgraded to lower caste. You can cross check this from the history of the some of the SC and OBC castes. If you read the book called ‘Who Were the Shudras ?’ by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, you will find the same truth revealed by Ambedkar. Ambedkar theorizes Shudras were once ruling members of the Kshatriya class who oppressed Brahmin priests. Ambedkar belongs to Mahar caste. Mahars were responsible for maintaining “law and order” throughout the villages as an administrator initially. This means they were playing the role of Patil or kulkarni caste. Thus they were actually upper caste people. Apart from many traditional duties, the Mahar were assigned work of removing dead cows from the village. When the community people started eating flesh of cows that had died naturally, and the eating of beef formed the basis for the caste being treated as untouchables. Idigas (toddy tapping caste who belongs to Tamilnadu, Andra and Karnataka) belongs to OBS and are not savarnas (good caste) and do not wear Janivar or sacred thread but in one of the Sanskrit text called “Brahmanotpatti Marthanda” there is legend relating to the origin of Idiga community. A grihastha (may be a brahmana, vaishya or shudra) should marry only one woman amd He should take of Her and His children properly. A kshatriya (from the very start of Krita Yuga, till A. D. 1950's) was allowed to marry more than one wives for the expansion of their family, so that after His life, anyone of the children can become His legal heir. After 1950, kshatriya got vanished completely. Also in the Sanatana Dharma texts, it is mentioned as follows - "A Kshatriya can have more than one wives, can consume meat and liquors and can enjoy the privileges. But remember O king! 'yathA rAjA tathA prajAH', if you are not following the Dharma as a grihastha, then the people will also start behaving like that. Hence banish all the royal benefits." So we can see that many Kings of the previous Yugas were following the principle of "One man one wife". Example - Rama - Sita, Janaka - Sunayana (or Sunaina), Satyavrata Manu - Airavati, Balarama - Revati, Parikshit - Airavati, Harishchandra - Chandramati, etc. It was upto their wish that whether they could have more than one wife or not... It was not a great fault. But, the ones who followed "One man, one wife" are even spoke now... The greatest model is Shri Ram... That's why we worship Rama, not Dasharath. And if you talk about Krishna, having 16,008 wives, I'll quote only one thing... All of them were the incarnations of a single deity Shri Lakshmi... who's none other than the sole wife of Shri Vishnu and who in Kshira Sagara, splits herself as five prowesses - Shri, Bhu, Nila, Nagnajita, Vatuka. And if you're not ready to accept this quote, then I'll say this truth - The policy of Polygamy was still prevalent in Dvapara Yuga. So in Treta Yuga Rama chose to be a pure Grihastha. In Dvapara Yuga, Krishna accepted those women under His shelter, to save their Chastity. But He never ever looked at those 16000 women. They were just under the Shelters of Shri Krishna. This there were originally only 8 Bharyas to Krishna. And all the 8 were the incarnation of one and the same Goddess Shri. After the start of Kali Yuga, normal people also started to have more than one wives. It started creating a problem among the houses. In Modern times only, Polygamy was abandoned for the sake of welfare of general householders. So stop all these non sense questions and try understanding this...

Myself from Malaysia..I never been to Bharat Soil till now but i can understand how important is Sanatanam in our Daily life ,Culture and Beliefs.. I never ever read Bhagawad Gita or any other scriptures which has been practice in Sanatanam Dharma as what we can see in Bharat Matha. Even never know to write or read well Tamil..Only speaks Tamil,English and Malay language (National stream). I Respect my Indian Community those living in Malaysia who i understand will backup Sanatanam.. We never feel shame or down to be Hindu/Sanatanam. But feel very upset why those born and grown in Bharat Soil have a lot of issues against Sanatanam. We Malaysian Hindus stay together with multiracial peoples from various Cultures,Beliefs and languages. Malaysia is a Muslim Country. Rule by King and Queen. Of course there are Federal Government Constitutions. Prime Minister and the Cabinet Ministers with the support of multi racial people running well with Respectful. Talking Bad or either racist statement is not given any space by Ruling King and Government.. Peoples have rights to speaks without against any Rules of Law in Malaysia. Bharat is the capital of spiritual land and Dharma. Why what happened to the people there nowadays? Willing to destroy their own identity just bcos politics survival? Humanity will be erase if said Sanatanam is No more practice on the Earth... Minister UdayaNidhi or even any other individual Should Not encourage people to against or Confusing Peoples about Sanatanam Dharma..
