Vanakam ! pls ask him a question . How to recognise anyone as brahmin ? There is no word 'brahmin' in tamil. Is it based on his/her work/job? or Is it based on his/her parent's work? or Can anyone claim himself/herself as brahmin? thanks a lot.

@@studypurpose7804 Please check it up. In Tirukkural , Valluvar says , செந்தண்மை பூண்டு ஒழுகலால் , அந்தணர் எனப்படுவர். Brahmins were not supposed to earn money. Only through the gifts of money, clothes, land etc they could conduct their life. But if the members of such families felt bad about depending on the goodwill of other communities, they would try to feel that they are superior, and have a right to accept gifts. Human nature refuses to be branded and sooner or later will resort to arrogant practices.

I agree - its getting expensive only when you want special privilleges ; just go without a single rupee in hand , go with the flow then you wouldnt require money - dont think you are giving money to preists and workers there, it goes to Government directly

In northern part of INdia, Many people claim the varna of brahmin irrespective of their jobs. However, corporate gurus are saying Varna is different from caste.

Those who lead a simple life, helping / guiding others, without troubling any life, without any greed or any unwanted qualities can be termed as " andhanar ". It's definitely not by birth. Opinions differ from person to person.

I too wondered about LGBTQIA+ issues. It is the creation of West and mostly Christianity oriented. Because they have don'ts religiously. So they want law to safeguard their such relationships. Even want it to be sanctified by marriage. I was wondering a time may come when they would like to marry animals and even the toys they use. As Dushyant says our touchstone is marriage and only requirement is caring for the offsprings. Our Lord marry His consort every day to give sanctity for marriage. As our wise have told a grahasthan is more important than a saint. As he sustains humanity. All the other activities which happen below the belt should remain there. Not a subject for discussion.
