We as a family hear a lot of Dushyanth Sridhar's discourses. He is someone with profound knowledge on a lot of subjects not only spiritual. He quotes our great saints and acharyas Sri Sankara, Bagawath Sri Ramanjuacharya, Sri Madhvacharya, and Sri Vedanta Desika, their works extensively. In this speech as well he very well explained that he does not see a difference in any Jeevathma. A knowledgeable person who would practice like he speaks unfortunately does not mention often about a great Vaishnava acharya who is also equally important. He has mentioned about His works, but not to the extent of having the same yardstick as others. I feel greatly disappointed when he ignores our great acharya Sri ManavAla Maamunigal. T M Krishna stripped naked and made to run. DS was perfectly right vis a vis his comments on Krishna. Let TMK.come out in open and say how many of his sishyaas are Brahmins and Non Brahmins. Let him give the names of his Non Brahmins Sishyaas, who have made mark in stage concerts. What was his contribution to bring them up to the level of top performing musicians. Any aspiring musician of any caste or clan should have some working knowledge of Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada and.Hindi/ Marathi. How many of his sishyaas have become top ranking musicians. To my mind comes only Rithvik Raja and he is an Iyengar Brahmin. Let him name a couple of persons( non Brahmins) whom he taught have made a mark in stage concerts. If TMK is so concerned, he should take up teaching assignment in music college run by Government of Tamilnadu ( sorry periyaar naadu)

​@@Athirahindustani TM Krishna worked really hard by spreading Social inclusiveness by blaming Hindu Brahmins for which he got Ramon Magsaysay award....Kamal Haasan, TM Krishna - all these folks will be celebrated by westerners and they pour awards and money on them, but the work given to them is to break Hindu Sanathana Dharma culture's back bone.....Kamal's statement on Saint Tyagaraja and TM krishna's so-called inclusiveness reforms against Carnatic musicians etc are their way of reciprocating gratitude for the biscuits they got.

I have great regard for the immense knowledge that Dushyant sir has and he propagates. I am an ardent fan of all kadhakalakshebham, namasankeerthanam etc in which he presides over. That being said I do embrace the kind of person TMK sir is. I find him to be true, extremely conscious of the position he has taken, is well read and he stands by his principles. One need not be slayed or destroyed for people to stand by the other. We live in a world where everything is a paradox. I am so happy to have known about the dark history from which Carnatic music has evolved and I am filled with pride to know that it comes from Thamizh roots. The ground breaking success of his concert that he sung in music academy is testament to how great a musician he is and his ardent fan following. He doesn’t need anyone like me or anyone else to defend him anywhere. His stature is so high that we will spend the rest of our lives measuring up to him. Let’s embrace what the truth for the sake of the music we all love.
