Kids these days spend their whole time watching videos of themselves, when they should be watching other older legends and taking notes. And they don't seem to teach surf etiquette anymore. Kids have zero respect and paddle around older, better surfers constantly and then try and act like they're the ones getting burnt. The lineups are a joke these days. And super dangerous as a result.

@@cwr8618 I had a kook the other day, walking back out into the lineup, trailing his board and leash behind. Looking at his gopro(which he did constantly obsessively for the entire session). He clocked me paddling into a wave between looking at his gopro screen. Clearly saw me paddling into it and lining up the wave. Proceeded to continue walking straight into my line, still trailing the leash and board. Totally clocked me multiple times and could see exactly what was going on. Glancing up from his go pro every couple seconds..Then as Im taking off, he calls me out of my own wave, because he has walked straight into the spot Im about to drop into. And I will likely kill him if I don’t pull out. He literally ends up wearing the lip of the tube section I should have been in, in the face and goes cartwheeling backwards into the sand. Comes up gasping for air. Immediately continues flicking through his gopro settings whilst still lying in the impact zone with his mid length and 10 ft leash just flailing around wherever it is. He didn’t apologize for ruining the best wave I saw all session! He seemed to think he had no responsibility to get out of my way whatsoever. I guess he assumed Id go straight 🤷‍♂️ If he’d taken his eyes off his fu$&ing gopro screen for 5 seconds. He might have noticed everyone else going left and right down the line. And that he was the only one going straight. I swear every time I saw him he was just head down cycling through footage of awesome POV vids he’d just hot of himself going straight ahead hooting pulling shakas and sh&&. Potentially the biggest kook in the world! 🌎 There was zero point in saying anything to him. Where would I start? 🤷‍♂️ There’s literally no point with someone that clueless. He was only going straight ahead in front of the whitewater repeatedly. That’s what he was filming. Then spending the entire session I guess looking at the vids he got of what exactly? 🤷‍♂️ Could there be any more worthless footage obtained by anyone in the world ever, than what he was getting? 🤷‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤣 He was just a complete pest the entire session. You shouldn’t be allowed to surf with a gopro if you can’t surf. It should be illegal

@@cwr8618 That’s true. It’s just a sh$&show all round! The onus is now on the surfer to just have to avoid everybody apparently! There are no rules. There is no etiquette. Just kooks flailing around on softtops everywhere! And the massive influx of kooks and learners and softtops since covid just sent it next level! Most of them don’t even know there are rules. Let alone what they are!! Lols 😆 When I was a grom, if you got in an experienced surfers way, you got run over. You only do that once. You learn pretty quick if that’s the rules. Now you’d probably get taken to jail for assault or something!? 🤷‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤣
