This wasn’t a humbling he even said “closed mouths don’t get fed” saying if he doesn’t call anyone out, he’s not gonna get anywhere. He did great against Dustin and showed that he can hang with the big dogs of the lightweight division. For the first 2 rounds he was completely outclassing Dustin. Once Hooker improves his cardio, he’s gonna be a serious problem. Still just shows how good Dustin is to be able to come back and win.

I don't really think its a cardio issue, he is a high level kickboxer, he can strike all day. But Hooker expends too much energy when he is in grappling exchanges. He explodes out of stuff as opposed to using technique. I think that is what lost him this fight. He just needs more time on the mat. But he definitely showed that he has what it takes to hang with the best of the division for sure.

UFH it is a good choice don’t get me wrong, but with the injuries that happened to Anderson, I think we should lay low

Poirier vs Hooker, Poirier vs Gaethje 1 and Gaethje vs Ferguson are my favorite wars in recent years, these 3 fights are an absolute must-see for any fighting fan 🤌👌👍

He was doing awesome. Watched the fight 3 times in 1 day and wow.

Or maybe he got tired because dustin was punching him? I know it’s an outlandish thought, but maybe , just maybe , he got tired because of dustin’s pace , therefore you should give dustin his due credit , just maybe
@Real_Lion_Slayer4 жыл бұрын
Alexander Anderson true but dan threw too many punches at the end of the second. I believe if he paced himself better he could’ve won.

honestly this was one of the best fights this year.

I always think but it must be utterly horrific going through one of those close or razor thin wars and losing.

Lightweight truly is a treat anytime there is a fight between two ranked lightweights even if it’s 15 vs 11 the division takes notice because of how elite it will be

Not sure what else was said before the fight, but all of the clips in this video seemed very respectful. He never dissed Dustin, just said he thinks his style counters Dustins. And then he humbly said hes not the best fight for Dustin because hes not that big of a fighter yet. Seemed like all respect to me, yet confidence in himself.

What a fantastic fight. Without the crowd, hearing the hits fighters take and keep going forward amazes me. Winning does not equal humbling. Pretty well matched fighters imho.

nothing more motivating for Dustin to hear than having Michael Bisping yell out "How is Poirier standing on his feet?!"
