Huge fan of Atlas but Dustin did go to the mat with Charles and Dustin was pounding Charles on the mat until Charles had to grab and hold Dustin's glove to change the whole fight around. No one mentions this and I'm absolute confused on why not. It's on video for those who don't believe me.

Another great episode, I love listening to this podcast cuz it is different than the other MMA podcasts, Teddy dives deep into the psychology of fighting which you won't find on other podcasts. This is a very unique and special podcast , a hidden gem. It really is one of the best MMA/boxing podcasts out there and the channel is still relatively new and growing. I love Dustin, he’s always been one of my favorite fighters. I was devastated for him when he lost to Olives. I could tell from the very beginning something was off and he wasn’t fighting his fight , and not in the right state of mind. He’s put in the work and I think he should take the money fights . IMO.. and BTW I’d love to see The 💎 shut chandler up , he’s a good guy too but he talks too much .. Dustin been here for years putting on bangers .. give him some respect

I’m just a random sitting on the outside but I believe that the moment Dustin went from looking at things from a War perspective to a sporting event perspective is when he was preparing for his second fight against Conor McGregor. There was a lot of talk about whether or not Dustin could stay focused without allowing Conor McGregor to get in his head like the claim following their first fight. I believe this is when Dustin made the conscious effort to look at this through the lens of a sporting competition where he is a professional and unwilling to allow personal feelings to control his emotion.

As Teddy pointed out earlier in another episode, that Romero/Marinez decision was a blatant, disgusting robbery. As highlighted, what of Marinez and his career from then on? He obviously beat Romero, the guy that so many are hailing as the next wonder of boxing, beat him soundly, actually he schooled him in all facets. As Teddy said, 'boxed his ears off'. So all Marinez's hard work, his hopes and dreams up till that moment, what of it after that robbery? He, and his family robbed of what is rightfully theirs. What effect did it, the blatant robbery, the public betrayal, have on Marinez? Love to hear Teddy and Ken discuss Donaire/Inoue 2. Nonito Donaire, kind of the quiet achiever, kind of in the unbelievable Manny Pacquiao's shadow. But what a career! The last of a dying breed in my eyes. Not a showman trying to create and fake a number as such, more just a pure fighter, his show is in the ring, craving the toughest fights willingly. For so long. Even now. And of course, it takes two to tango, in a similar mold, Inoue.

The problem for Dustin is he's already had two shots at that belt recently vs two different guys and lost the same way in both.. if he gets more shots later and eventually wins it against someone else, it won't feel as good because it's like he had to wait for the right guy to beat stylistically, not that he was the best overall.
