Hey Dustin, exactly the same thing happened to my F210 a couple of days ago, slammed it to the ground and lost that antenna tube. So i went online, ordered a new pair of antennae, some extra props and 2 more batteries :) Great F150 review!

is there a low price drone that can maintain his position pretty well like probably, the high price category drones? Because so far I haven t seen a drone that can maintain his position without moving, even without wind and even when you trim them , they stop drifting towards one side and start drifting to the opposite direction

quick question, have you noticed the sma connector on the vtx getting hot? just testing mine on the desk for a few minutes and it was quite hot.both with the stock antenna and the diatone rhcp antenna i got. i took it outside and flew los for a few and it didn't feel as hot. this is my first fpv quad so...total noob here. thought i would ask.

+ken powell throttle control mainly. Stay in medium mode..don't try Acro for LOS flips. Get high enough and don't be afraid to give full throttle when needed and also push the pitch/roll stock hard to one direction to start the flip. Good luck :)

One suggestion on the battery I found putting the battery with the bat plugs to the back and upside down the power connection is easier. Once again great video I'm really liking mine got it from Frank at Carolina Dronz.

I been flying the rodeo for about a week, solely to fly acro. slowly getting the hang of it. had a few hard crashes, the shell his up OK, but it definitely ain't carbon fiber eh. some of the seams started to separate.ca glue and electrical tape the arms.

Good idea. Some tape tightly wrapped would be a great way to reinforce arms for hard crashes.

Yeah, Scotch tape works like a charm to prevent cracks. Use a clean new roll in a clean environment for best looks. I get 4.5 minutes easy cruising flight time with the stock battery.

Yes if you get a 5.8ghz analog to digital converter but there will be more lag. Best to get a true analog 5.8ghz set of goggles and/or monitor.

+Dustin Dunnill I got my rodeo about a week ago and I've been having a blast with it I also noticed that yours when armed doesn't start in idle like mine I think I received a preproduction model because mine has no Walkera label on it and props are shiny white instead of flat white like the spare props I also have the f210 both are awesome quads my antenna fell out of my 210 and I used a standard antenna tube just cut it down and works great I haven't tried horizon mode yet on either but I wanted to know when doing flips do you cut throttle all the way or do you leave some throttle on anyway great review as always I would like to see a video of your favorite quads of 2016 or just quadcopters that are worth buying in your opinion

This would be a good start. If your looking for an RTF there are alot of options now. It is plastic but very durable with the unibody construction. Look into the Holybro 150 size as they are super durable.

Hey guys love my Walkera 150 so far but having a little trouble with getting the fpv setup. I am receiving video signal when goggles are powered up and signal is clear but only when quad is stationary. When any load is put on the quad ie signal beeps/arming, or powering up the motors the signal cuts out.. sometimes comes back online but not enough to fly properly with it. Has anybody had a similiar problem love to fly fpv with it. Thanks love to get some insight on this issue.

Well another great review Dustin, on page 7 of the manual it reads motors will idle when armed I noticed yours doesn't did you turn something off? Did you notice any heat build up at the bottom of the FPV antenna? Thanks

Good question. This flight was out of the box with no adjustments to anything. It became warm but not hot around the VTX which seemed normal to me.

That is called momentum and that is normal.

Ian Rice Well, I had it for 2 weeks and it is amazing quad. It have that punch and speed. FPV is good enough for this kind of quad. I have crashed mine over 10 times and couple of crashes were pretty bad. (Failed backflip and full throtle at the ground) Only thing is that I losed my antenna covers but when I found them there weren't broken, just put them back and ready to go! (Very durable quad) It also have li-po cover lock, so when you crash it dosn't come off and you can always find it when it is beeping. Only thing is that you cant save video, but it is a racing quad, what do you expect :)

I've never done FPV. I've only used my GoPro on my planes. It's seems like the video quality is pretty poor from the on board camera. I don't mean that as a insult it just seems almost useable. Is this the highest quality?

+Curtis Spivey real time FPV with very low latency to pilot at a cheap cost is not great resolution. It's an analog signal which is old tech but still provides the fastest response time for a racing pilot. The larger camera/video drone such as DJI phantom/Mavic/inspire have digital FPV technology for HD FPV view but with a higher video lag rate unacceptable for close proximity fast flight.

Crap,I bought the Walkera goggles 4 cause I was told the Fat Sharks were not compatible, I wanted the FS Google's, Not sure how good the view is cause the fpv antenna broke off on its first flight after a pretty soft crash in the grass,Ordered short mini clover leafs for it.

Probably easier to see black for LOS flight against the sky and clouds but white is good against ground will reflect sun heat better. Really just a matter of your taste in color.

I have the Rodeo and I'm loving it, I only fly LOS but it's still fun. I have a silly question for you, could you please explain exactly how you did the first flips in this video ? It looks like fun and I want to try it myself I just want to make sure I'm doing it the correct way. I love flying but my skills could use some improvement. just get some height, pull down throttle almost all the way, smash the right stick in one direction in Intermediate mode and let off when it's back upright and push throttle back on to maintain height.

I got my Rodeo 150 only to find that it DOES NOT HAVE TRANSMITTER FAILESAFE! I could not find a fix on KZbin . I wasted $ 200.00 on a quad I can not safely fly. I did discover that this is an on-going problem with Walkera products.

I just got the Hubsan 501S and its amazing. I am only going to put better antennas on the radio and change the blue battery cnnectors to the more populat XT30/XT60 style. The quality seems very good and it flies amazing . The radio is OK but its not expected to be super high quality at this price.
