Very Cool. The floaties are for the snow also. Captain Drone flies in the Winter and the Egg did a great job in the cold. Nice in-depth coverage...looking forward to the flying and other features of this drone.

As reviewers, it is our responsibility to be truthful to our audience around the world. Hi Dustin I’ve had the PEX for a couple of weeks and I’m getting more impressed the more I use it. My experience didn’t start off too great though as it would not show the live video feed on my Samsung phones. I dug deeper and it was the GPU in my S6 and S7. I swapped to a Huawei P30Lite and everything was great. Concerning the no map issue. I found this to be an issue with V2.0.8 of the APP if downloaded from the Google Play Store. If you downloaded it direct from their website the map worked fine. I was beta testing V2.0.9 last week and the battery firmware. I think they’ve now made this version available on their website now and the Play store. One of the issues on the Beta APP was the forward OA, it was just too sensitive identifying obstacles 10m away and stopping forward flight. When switching from AI to normal in drone mode the camera would not recenter and the drone had to be power cycled. Another issue with the Android APP was the inability to replay the log files. Even with these teething problems I’m still impressed with the performance it handles great, even in adverse conditions. I flew it in 20mph+ winds and it didn’t protest in the slightest. I look forward to your flight and compulsory range test. Here in the UK it has been limited in range to comply with our RF power requirements. I managed around 1km of video range even though I still had full control. Regards Nidge.

@@DustinDunnill Prior to receiving mine there had been some updates that I needed to load. As you got yours from PV they probably updated everything prior to sending it to you. If you download V2.0.9 from their website you might get an update for the battery. Apperently prior to this they were self discharging down to 0V after 10Days instead of to a storage value. In the UK V2.0.8 of the App has been taken off the Playstore. I'm still working with PV so hope to see some positive updates next week. They have been affected by the Coronavirus so most support has been via the regional office in Europe. Nidge.

I've used mine multiple times in the rain with wizard kit not once have I had water ingress, just make sure when fitting it on the poweregg the seal is sealing all the way around before clamping it shut

It will be interesting to see how well it operates, as the Amazon Reviews indicated that there were some Firmware & camera issues. Sounds like there have been several FW updates already, so you might want to check that. Looks like a LOT of things to test out, so I suspect there will be many more videos on this. It looks like snapping the side clips on the waterproof housing would be easier if you flipped the front legs back while you install the housing. I think that's why they were hard to clip on. It didn't seem to be that hard to clip shut when you were first holding the waterproof housing in your hand at the start of your review.

N, I wouldn't use it in salt water. Motors have seized up even after thoroughly rinsing with freshwater then flying until dry. If it stays out of the water it will last though 🍻
