You did such an amazing job modding this keyboard TToTT! It's so thocky! I was trying to take out the screws to do a PE foam mod on my D84 keyboard too. I tried to unscrew the screws attaching the pcb, but they were completely stripped =(.

I'm sad that I didn't see you do the tape mod, though T-T I don't know how to do it. Also, I have a question: did you have to clip off pieces of the stabalizer units for the holee mod?

This keyboard is so nice. If I knew this product existed I would have bought it instead of my Akko PC75B plus with akko jelly purple switches

@@mczstudio It is a great keyboard (I love the knob), but I don't like the jelly purple switches that much. I think I will switch either to akko's cs crystal wine reds or the cs crystal silvers

You should mod a keyboard with holy bobas next, I know you have done some videos on bobs u4ts but the stem swap makes a huge difference. Sprit slow springs also help a little bit

i do want to try this holy pandas/boba swap. but i feel like its abit of waste for the other parts. 😩 i think i would probably try the MM switches mix and match thing instead!

Thank you for this video! I have been wanting to modify a Dustsilver board that I have because I can hear a slight metal vibration after each click that was really distracting. I didn't have the nerve to do it without watching your video about 5x.first. I love my board, but it's that little "twang" that started to annoy me. I didn't get the FULL "thock" sound that I wanted, but will for sure try some different switches.

Mine came with Outemu red switches that were awful but with some Akko Cream Yellow Pros the pinging and scratching is gone and the board sounds way more "poppy"

@@snaeb-ps3bd - ooh thanks for the recommendation - mine came with the same switches! Opening the keyboard is dicey for sure. The press fit is with plastic fittings so I can’t modify it more than a couple of times.

@@claudinereynolds5658 You don't have to open it to swap switches, just pull the keycaps off and you have access to them. Use the end of the keycap/switch puller that looks like a claw to clamp them up and down and pull them out

@@snaeb-ps3bd - oh I know this - I had initially opened it to do a tape mod because the “twang” metal sound was so annoying. I’m thinking if I do take it apart again I’ll just do it all..I have to plan it because that will be the last time I modify.
