Honestly, treating the Dust AUs as creepypastas works out surprisingly well. Just look at the Dustbelief comic, which actually was kind of corny, but got some good spooks in there! This is kind of like that, where at times, it was kind of corny, but was super good overall. Honestly, the most corny parts were Papyrus' lines about purgatory, Asgore, and the Sans music. But honestly, I say don't change that. Everything has some flaws, and overall, this was REALLY good, I loved it.

Pretty well-made game that isn't overly difficult in the beginning but also doesn't pull its punches either! Dialogue and story wise could probably be a bit edgy, but considering it is DustTrust, it's okay (I wasn't expecting Flowey, but I understand the decision to change it). First two fights could use some more work tbh, but considering it's an actual complete game I won't complain about that. I give it a solid 8/10, but fixing up those first two fights could probably bump it up to a 9 (in terms of music choice and attack design, but the main fight is pretty good!)

Oh, this is great! If you're able to fix up the small grammar issues, it would be better! Another thing?? I love the deltatune "bad" jingles! They fit well here! I also liked your uses of Papyrus throughout the game. This is great! I loved Sans final attack, the whole changing scenery, and "nightmare" events.

i love how the attacks that actually hit sans are never some sudden one shot or some massive burst of damage. that indicates two things: 1: sans is constantly on guard 2: there is a massive power gap between you and him. it's a much more realistic sense tbh, just the fact that sans is simply way too strong for you to do any real damage to him. the only way for you to win is by the battle of attrition, which you'd most likely win since stamina isn't really a problem for you, but then the core starts to go haywire, sans snaps out of his insanity and goes "oh shit" and dips, aaand then you die via explosion. very nice game LMFAO and sorry for the sudden paragraph

This really feels like how Dusttale AUs related stuff should be like, It's basically the sonic.exe version of Undertale but somewhat logical (although there are better ways to stop the genocide). and the take on papyrus being this intimidating and creepy is refreshing, it really shows that creepypasta-like feelings, oh and this fangame also kinda seperates itself from the regular ut fangame trope, not starting with the usual undertale intro and you can't forget the music througout the game. the music felt more empty and unsettling ( ASGORE and HOMICIDAL LUNACY is an exception) and it is good, most of the audio were from the game like the slowed-down bonetrousle, the fallen child etc and they really sets the mood for this type of game. Sans not wanting to fall into insanity is a concept i rarely see and it fits well. the purgatory section really gave goosebumps and the ending being sans taking his own life as closure was just, wow. overall, good game

Eeeeeeh... A unique take, to say the least. A few things I don't really like, though. Granted, I don't know if this is a 'true' swap of characters, or if it was only just some of the characters. Take for instance 'Flowery'; I feel like Temmy would be better in their place, since, in what I know about Underswap, Flowey is more like Temmy, and vice versa. The effort is clearly present, though. I can appreciate the hard time work that it took to get this up.

Though, the creator of the Nihilism game did some shitty things, like sexualising Chara ( who is like 9) by drawing explicit doodles of them, also inappropriate private chatting with minors…as well as being a racist. When the news went out, he completely deleted the project and disappeared since his team left and didn’t want to help him with the game anymore, nor helping him cover the true allegations.

I'm sorry for some possible mistakes, I don't speak English very well, but I really want to express emotions to begin with, how good it is that this is not another fan game with 3-4 phases, but a project that has at least some adequate plot and ideas, and speaking of them - an attempt to make psychological horror is really cool, It is basically great for all versions of dusttale fan games. To show all the horror that happens in the head of a once ordinary monster because of his actions is a great idea that many people miss for some reason, but here it is presented, and presented well for me I also want to thank you for the fact that papyrus in this story is not literally a ghost, but only Sans's schizophrenia, which, unlike many other fan representations, tries to condemn Sans. It's not that I don't like the fact that papyrus is still a "loving brother" in many fan versions, it's just that usually everything always appears in the same template, so it was interesting to see the "other" version at least (although I have some sketches about schizophrenia of gg dusttale fan games that I would especially like to see But okay, that's another story) Additionally, I want to praise the Sans sprite, I just LOVE it, it looks great. The same goes for the music -- I love homidical lunacy 2024, and the remix for it is really cool. and in the end, I want to highlight the moment at 30:30. Attacks and lvl up sound cool under the beat

I tried out the Game and its amazing, the papyrus encounter and Sans fight are perfect in my opinión, the sprites are great and the attacks are very Creative, some times the soul are stuck in the purple platforms and i mean in one attack that consist in the purple platforms are Up and the Green ones down as some Bones appears too but its not a Big issue, i really liked the dialogue of Sans also. Great Job!

This was so fun to play. It took me about two-ish hours to beat? I think I accidentally skipped Asgore by apologizing so IDK if that saved time, but from like a gameplay perspective that was so fun to play. Never did I feel like it was unfair, despite it retaining a lot of difficulty. By far one of the most fluid Undertale fangames I've played in a long time. Though I will add that the platforms were buggy at times lol

@@brawlmaster0190 When Chara fell down, they immediately started calling for help--that's how Asriel found them. While they do have the mindset of a regular child by this point still, you could argue that Chara's overall personality can be very...dedicated to a specific goal. If they were suicidal (as in, "I just want to die" suicidal, not "I will do anything to achieve this" suicidal), they probably wouldn't have called for help...or accepted it, even if shocked or something like that. It's more than likely that Chara was just simply running away from the nearby town and was looking for an escape, or, as Asgore once said about their eyes sometime into their stay in the Underground, "hope". Though obviously they still ended up killing themselves, there's...a tiny but reasonable chance that Chara had guessed/was betting on being aware after merging souls with Asriel. Who knows, though...

I may be a bit late but who cares. Azzy, this is a banger! Not only you did your own little take on dillywolf's official AU. Absolute banger track for core encounter, for a few minutes, I thought you were going to do a "Chara, Sans, Chara, Sans" sorta timeline with focus switching between both, which would have lead to the psychosis fight, but either way ITS BLOODY GREAT! I do agree with based guy's video on this being the unintentionally funniest game, but don't take that badly, this is definately a staple in the dusttrust fandom. Like with based guy, I am a bit confused about the final attack in the core encounter, although I am starting to think it's a reference to how far sans's efforts to take chara and... flowey...? on. Thats another thing, is the inclusion of flowey, inconsistant sprites yadi yadi yadi part of your own little take on it, or is it something else?

Am I the only one who thinks dusttrust should be its own thing and not an Underswap AU cause it would work far better as its own standalone thing, like the video shows. Lemme explain Dusttrust ks based around distrust and dusttale, distrust is based on disbelief where there are four phases where papyrus feels emotions. Intially, distrust and dusttrust has that same formula, but I love that the latter is breaking away from the pattern.

Question: So, i know it isn’t technically canon, but in the Dusttale fan game, right? Flowey is the first person to die, with his dust just laying there at the start of the game. And in the Dustbelief comic (also might not be canon), Flowey dies fighting Papyrus at Hotland just before the Lab, right? AND in TS! Underswap, Flowey is your ally and ONLY one Flowey exists, while there are multiple Temmies that are evil. What im getting at is, what if the Temmies (or Temmie),were killed off either by Sans or Papyrus during their route, while Flowey aided the Human the entire time? Now, I’m not saying you’re wrong or anything about Asriel and MK swapping, I’m just saying that i think MK is dead, and Flowey is here in place of them.

@@jayvisspencer I think I may of understood it wrong so please correct/clarify but Flowey is stated to be Asriel in the game, MK has to be dead before the story, and I'm sure DustTrust is mostly following canon!Swap so TS underswap Flowey isn't really a good example but then again this is a different take. The thing about Flowey helping you does work but the Asriel thing wouldn't work. If the Temmies died then MK is gone and can't be killed by Sans/Papyrus. If I'm wrong about anything please correct me or clarify.

@@Person1360_ So, i know you said that TS!Underswap would not be a good example and it’s following Canon!Swap, and i feel like you are must definitely right after checking some things from TS. So, I’m going to change my answer a bit to clarify. Also, I’m using TS as an example again, but BARE WITH ME 😅: In TS! Underswap, both Asriel AND Flowey exist at the same time. They are 2 separate entities. This technically makes sense because of how Undertale shows the 2 of them being 2 COMPLETELY different beings, even if they’re both technically the ‘same’ person. In Canon!Swap, ‘Flowey’ is a whole other species of Monster. Being the literal Swap, Flowey swaps personality with Temmie by at least 80%. So, it following Canon!Swap would not work, as Flowey wouldn’t be one, he’d be many, PLUS i doubt they would help you murder an entire race. So, while i DO think Azzy took portions from Canon!Swap, they most DEFINITELY didn’t take everything from it. So, I believe this is how it makes sense for Flowey to be here; Flowey, Temmie, Asriel and MK are NOT 4 separate beings in this ‘Underswap’ take. Asriel could’ve been friends with Frisk AND MK when they were alive. The story would play out like normal, where Frisk comes up with a disease or something, they want to see..idk what Golden Flowers are swapped with.. They attempt to go to the surface with the body, and get attacked. They come back, and both die. Asriel became Flowey, and MK became Temmie. Although, this is just a theory, so don’t take my word for it; In this take, it is clear to see that their personalities have not swapped completely. Sans himself only looks about 50% or maybe less in my opinion. So, Flowey would most likely be himself, like Sans appears to be mostly himself as well. Although, that DOES raise a few questions, like Papyrus; How would Papyrus be like Classic!Sans when Sans is mostly himself? Well, if it’s at least 50%, i feel like it would make a bit of sense, so that’s out the window for now; In conclusion(I’m not a nerd, i swear 🥲): This DustSwap take follows a lot of different takes, mixed into one. Asriel and MK died, and became Flowey and Temmie. (Temmie is the more active one while Flowey usually works from the shadows, i guess?) The roles are swapped with nearly every other character, but their personalities are NOT completely swapped out by 80%. So, most characters act like themselves to a degree, making this honestly more of a Role!Swap. Flowey and Temmie both exist, the characters’ person are not completely swapped, and that’s my theory. @@jayvisspencer i agree with your essay and chances are that this take takes inspiration TS Swap, but in the game we see MK and Temmie getting slashed, meaning that MK never died and became Temmie so it's most likely the events of og Undertale but with Frisk instead of Chara and maybe MK wasn't adopted into the Dreemurrs but that doesn't sound as good as your take on the story
