Here me out (not in that way), i think the fact that there are no saves is intentional. Flowey said in undertale, that his ability to save, his determination, was overpowered by frisk's. So maybe, somewhere in the underground, there's someone more determined than frisk is in this timeline.

no that's not that actually, real reason of that is this au was hacked by a real player, he did that so many times file of game became corrupted removing player's ability to save and spare, .monsters became corrupted as well and their only task at this point was killing frisk, so the only remaining route you can do is genocide, you have to kill every monster here

As far as I read from the wiki of this au, a being beyond this world made it what it is today and made the monsters like this to kill Frisk, except for Flowey for some reason and when Flowey saw all that gore and horrible monsters, his only choice was to stick with Frisk to see what the hell is going on here (kinda like Underfell and Horrortale, I guess)

I'd give feedback about the demo but it is apparently four years old and a lot has changed about the game's development since then. Thankfully, they seem to have abandoned the "hard to see" aesthetic. They do still state that the game will lack a save and load feature, which I'm really hoping they change their mind about. Starting all over again is no one's idea of a good time, not even as a "challenge". Most players consider it artificial difficulty, and it discourages you from exploring/taking risks.

There's also a no mercy neutral run. Im pretty sure you can still "spare" papyrus in this au, through. If you get captured by papyrus three times, you get the option to simply skip the battle, which implies that sparing papyrus is possible at the very least

Honestly this AU does have some potential. The sprites are great, if the use of blood is a tad too excessive. I really like Toriel's sprite, and the idea of an Undertale thats corrupted after a genocide route is a fun idea to explore. I do hope its expanded upon and polished!

That one is more recent than this one. Also Help_Tale will always remain the most horryifing for lotsa people, even over this one or that other one you mentioned.

The writing for that series is garbage, I’m gonna be real. Fantastic ideas, but the execution needs a lot of work. The way they explained how the core works makes me want to face palm ridiculously hard, as its purpose has always been just purely generating energy for the underground, not food.

just watched it and I still believe that Underworld is probably scarier than it because literally every monster in Underworld wants to brutally murder you while in Under mtt ebott, there are still some sane ones. I could be wrong, though I only watched the first season
