I have just found a huge old fashion tapered style double scallop cream shade and it’s lined too, and dirty! I tried to wash it but the stains are still there. I thought I may cut the fabric off and keep the cage frame to re-do the entire thing, but I think this idea of yours will work! 🎉😊

You can make those colors as well. They have pewters and coppers. These are the brighter colors.
