I’m an ordinary Aussie. I remember in 1962 viewing posters on telegraph poles advertising a show called “A nice night’s entertainment” in my home town, Newcastle NSW. My mother told me he was “riske and best ignored”. At the age of 12 I quietly thought to myself, “I need to know more about this person”. Now, 61 years later, I am sadly reminiscent of his amazing genius. It had to happen, but we have lost the best thing that ever emerged from Australia. Thankfully we have his videos to enjoy forever. Goodbye Sunny Sam, we love you and your unique humour forever.

In my opinion Dusty was the BEST female singer EVER !!!! Unlike todays so called vocalists she had a thorough musical knowledge and skills and could sing without any backing ! She had a gorgeous voice and made her BEST music after her fame had elipsed ! There will never be anyone like Dusty again ! She was the GREATEST !!!!

In America, Dusty was often referred to as the White Queen of Soul. Aretha Franklin did not take offense at that title. Dusty's Nashville album was simply superb. Her talent will always be missed. It is hard to believe this was 34 years ago and about 24 years after her death.

Darren, I've watched this video for years, but never with such clarity. Been a big fan of Dusty Springfield since 1964...yes, I'm old! Worked in NYC in the music business & was lucky enough to have seen her in Oct of 1980 at the Grand Finale. It was her last performace in New York. Other than catching her necklaces in her mic, the highlight for me was her haunting version of Bruce Roberts' "I'd Rather Be Alone." As far as I know it's never been recorded. Would love to know if anyone's aware of it. I have a rough recording of Dusty singing Kate Bush's "The Man With The Child In His Eyes." She struggles through it a bit, but it's a fascinating choice. Again thanks for a greatly improved video. Have subscribed to your channel.

Thanks for this Darren...brings me back to memory lane....I was there at the LWT studios in London....now gone ....Dusty appeared to be enjoying Dame Edna's company. It was certainly a great showcase for Dusty and her"Sisters" duet was just fantastic
