@@DustyBoles I am a big fan of the how to sound like (band) series you have, I like to do the same, albeit on a much rougher and basic level haha. It's nice to have it done by a professional and with insight into the project, so certainly keep those coming. Fyi your tip the other day actually saved my cubase, adjusting buffer rate on the interface, big help!

Great signal source cannot be understated, having a quality interface as well as a good DI box can make a lot difference. really enjoyed what the VMR added. @DustyBoles random mixing question...do you send all the instruments to a bus and do your compression there based off the snare (Nolly style) or just drum bus compression and then all instruments busses go to the 2 bus?

Great tutorial! I feel like metal guitars usually require not much more than EQ and MB compression, and that production-based decisions weigh over in this type of sound (amp, etc)

Most these digital amps these days are so smoothe I don’t find myself cutting TOO much. Especially compared to 6-7 years ago. The amount of cuts I was doing was crazy.

Hi, what do you think of the plugins from Bogren Digital? I'm currently recording 6505 USA through Torpedo and comparing it to digital. I don't see much difference between a real amp recorded through loadbox and Bogren Digital 5169 or a good Tonex profile. Maybe the difference will show up when recording the amp through real cabinet and microphone.

@@Поляк-ц4ш man it’s all taste. I’d rather go digital for my situation because I’m a ghost writer. My full time job is writing for artists and the digital sims, IR’s just make things so easy for me. There are genres for real amps, but I feel like modern day metal/metalcore calls for a more processed sound.

Thanks for this! One question is this your go to setup when you start writing? Or do you just load up the amp sim write your riff and then add everything? I would assume you do that and then add the eq and compressors where it’s needed.
