I genuinely felt badly for Molly. To me, Dutch used his charms on her and sucked her in because she was beautiful, exotic, and a romantic in all likelihood (see her conversaion with Abigail, she can't admit to herself that Dutch doesn't love her, she's totally blinded by her feelings for him). Her paranoia is what led to her undoing, she had intense feelings for Dutch and he never reciprocated them, truly. We know she wasn't the rat, she was just trying to hurt Dutch in a way she thought would be close to the way he hurt her, and she died for it. Tragic.

@X_The_Quiet_Wolf_XАй бұрын
People are quick to dislike her due to her distance towards other members of the gang and not pulling her weight around, like helping with chores. Molly came from a wealthy family, she went to the USA in search of adventure, as she grew bored of her life in Ireland. Dutch charmed her and she fell for it. I believe that was the adventure she was looking for, riding with outlaws, being in danger and having a relationship with one of them, in that case, the leader. She knew her old life was forfeit, she had slept with a man out of wedlock, in those times that was a big deal, I believe she expected Dutch would be with her forever and genuinely love her. Of course, Dutch being Dutch, he grew bored of her and was trying to charm Mary-Beth. Molly was miserable because she was trapped, she couldn't go back to her family, Dutch just used her and she felt like the rest of the gang hated her. She is a tragic character in my opinion. I think she knew telling Dutch she ratted the gang out would get her killed, I think she saw that as the only way out.

There is a poem written by Molly we can foind in the camp. Pasted here : I was a girl - until your call Commanded me to cross the sea. I've nothing left. I gave you all. My darling Liffey was so small. Your land and love are vast and free. I was a girl until your call. You stood so strong, and dark and tall. You stole the heartbeat out of me. I've nothing left. I gave you all. Your lips enchant, your eyes enthrall, Your empire is of ecstasy. I was a girl until your call. Your parasites and lackeys crawl, Mocking a love they dare not see. I've nothing left. I gave you all. I sit in solitude and scrawl These wretched words, and wait for thee. I was a girl until your call. I've nothing left. I gave you all.

Dutch's women are just eye candy for his ego. He lost interest in Susan Grimshaw when she reached 30 and Annabelle showed up. Annabelle died before she lost her youth, so he never fell out of love with her, and then he took up with a younger and beautiful Molly. Now that Molly is 30 or almost 30, he is losing interest in her and trying to court Marybeth. Before you ask why Grimshaw stayed with the gang, its because if anyone left, they'd be hunted down and shot as traitors, for being disloyal. That is why Arthur was resentful & complaining that John was welcomed back like the prodigal son without consequences. After running out on Abigail and baby Jack

By the time you get to Shady Belle, I remember always seeing her sitting in the corner of the dining room next to an empty bowl of stew, like she was very hungry and tired. When she dies, I remember saying, "Bro, you shot her in the baby!" From a quick internet search, it seems that the time from Chapter 2 to the beginning of Chapter 6 is about 4-5 months. I found a poem Molly made inside Dutch's tent in Chapter 3. I don't know if it was always there or if its specific on chapter 3 but I found it after the mission where you go shopping with Sadie (One of the first missions on chapter 3). Maybe it's not that important for the video but I found it interesting because Molly writes that Dutch made her a "woman". Maybe Dutch started dating her since she was young 🤷♂️

Actually I had the feeling that in Chapter 2 Mary-Beth had a crush on Arthur before crushing on Kieran. Dutch was a creep for so openly flirting with her.

I dont think Mary Beth had a crush on Kieren. He liked her, sure, but she only felt pity for him. I think she did like Arthur but nothing happened between them because he got sick.

@@noepp If a 20 year old likes a 40 year old woman, is he a creep?

@@Mr.Nobody-. If you wanna reverse the genders than you'd have to ask that for a ca. 46 year old woman hitting on a 21 year old guy. And yes, it's also kinda creepy.

He talks a big game about the difference between seeking vs finding, and in seeking can he truly be free. Yet in constantly seeking - in this case seeking female companionship - he is never truly satisfied once he's actually found what he has sought. Therefore to be free he needs to constantly be seeking and never finding. He has found Molly, but because of this he cannot be free, and so continues to seek female friendship with Mary-Beth.

I’ve always wondered if Molly actually did eat out the gang about the Bank Heist, I mean we know Micah ratted out the gang from the time they got back from Gaurma, but did Molly rat out the gang from 2 to 4?

“Eat” I meant rat, stupid autocorrect

even if she had heard something about the bank before running away from camp, I highly doubt she would’ve said anything. as for if she ratted out the gang prior? no. she never even left camp, and even when her and dutch fought she still tried to make him happy, make him interested in her by dressing up, following his orders and engaging with him. molly ran away from the gang at the end of chapter 4, she went to town to drink her sorrows away. she had no idea what happened between the bank heist and then moving to beaver hollow- and was then brought back into that hellhole by uncle to get murdered. micah most likely occasionally ratted them out earlier, that and the fact that they had gotten extremely sloppy (as arthur put it). something like the train robbery; all gang members involved were people that micah either disliked or feared (arthur, john, charles, sean) and the law was tipped off about that job. could’ve been micah, could’ve been a civilian.

@@noahtoftegaard I would be willing to bet Micah gave anonymous tips to the authorities about all the big things they were doing, then by the time they got back from Guarma, he couldn’t be anonymous anymore

Completely random thought. But the church in Rhodes is pastored by a man named “Grimshaw”. I wonder if it’s a relations to Susan?

Grow up kid...if other person loves you, obsessed with you, cling to you and you actually don't love her/him...then the other person is just considered as to be a stalker not lover to you...and ther other person's heart is broken by you that doesn't Mean he/she has right to harm u..... So Molly's death is justified, because dutch never loved her, and its ok...every body has someone speacial no one can replace that....
