The highest I paid for WCW, attending shows from August 1990 to September 1998, was $35. That was for the Clash of the Champions show in Gainesville Georgia. WCW usually ran there, almost, every Tuesday..

Beyond wrestling, in the UK prices have shot through the roof for events. Music events have gone from £50-£150 to £100-£300. Tickets go on sale 8 months to a year in advance, and if the sales are slow it gets cancelled a month to six weeks out. The problem in London especially is there are lots of people with disposable income that may not be fans, but don’t think twice spending £1000 on 2-4 tickets to the new ‘cool’ thing. Real working class fans have to take a realistic view of the world and if they can justify these prices.

I went to All In last year and the same seat price has now doubled. I was in the first tier and still found myself looking at the screen. Based on the seat plan, it looks like a large section on the hard cam side has not even been put up for sale as there are no seats available at all. All other blocks at least have some seats available here and there.

I think the ticket prices over in the states are reasonable compared to what they were here. Put it this way, I could get tickets for this year's Summerslam which cost a mere fraction of the price that WWE was charging for tickets to go and see Clash at the Castle.

That is ,generally but not always ,the first sign of the real economy in in a business. They seem to be needing money, so much so they need to hike prices of tickets even though the same names are on the cards. Suspect statement? Consider how many performers AEW employs and how many of those actually get TV time. Check their contracts sometimes. Some ppl dont even perform anymore and are getting more than actual active performers in AEW. That 'ish' never happens in WWE. Tony buys people to just sit around , waiting. Its good money too. Most performers would rather not bust their arses for a few bucks when they can literally sit on their butts doing house shows once in a while and make the same money. I also noticed AEW's social medias using images with people like Sting who arent even going to be there. It seems the business practices over there are borderline deceitful. Tony's not doing anything EVERY OTHER COMPANY IN THE WORLD has been doing ever since the pandemic: Exploiting for profit before the laws can change to prevent it.

Seeing the news that AEW is looking at coming to Australia, and doing shows on the east coast only. Sydney, Brisbane + Melbourne. These stadiums hold 45-55,000 people. What is going to be the asking price for seats here, if they're already over priced for UK shows?

The first Wembley show had a lot of cheap tickets (£15, or approximately two cinema tickets), so I wouldn't be surprised if that is the strategy there too. Khan seems to be of the Meltzer opinion that once you see how good the product is, you'll be hooked
