Join me as I cook a beef roast and potatoes over a fire in my backyard. I am not an expert, I just like to cook outside over coals, and I am trying to improve my skills.
It takes about an hour to get some good coals, then you need to keep the fire going to have more coals for later.
Ingredients:
3 lb Beef roast
1 onion, quartered
1 packet Au Jus Gravy mix
1 teaspoon Cavendars greek Seasoning
2-3 teaspoons Steak Seasoning
4 cups water, approx
I should have cooked the meat an hour before adding the potatoes. The flavor of the gravy was great and we enjoyed it even though it wasn't as tender as I wished.
